Hey you! I hope you had a great weekend!  I know I  did…I finally got to go to my farm in Saskatchewan!  We’ve been trying since early April to get out there, only to be denied 3x because of one thing and another.

On to today’s sketch challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Patti brings us this gem!

This is what I have for you today.  I made this for my father in law who has a birthday coming up!

I believe the paper is from G45.  The twine is from my stash as are the enamel dots.  The sentiment was sent to me and worked perfect for this card.

Vaycay fun!

Happy Sunday and the first day of March if you can believe it!   Wow, it feels like February flew by!    We have a new challenge at Red Carpet Studio today! Yay!

Our inspiration this week is from Public Enemies (I must admit, this is one of the few movies I’ve not seen yet…surprisingly)

Synopsis:

The Feds try to take down notorious American gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd during a booming crime wave in the 1930s.

THE CHALLENGE:  The Good Old Days….Use a distress technique on your project.

So I have a fun vacation layout for you today….

Anyone who knows me, knows that I hoard paper like you wouldn’t believe.  I always find it is so hard to use the cute stuff because you don’t want to cut it apart!  So I hunkered down and got too it.  I used the On the Boardwalk Collection from Graphic 45 which I thought would go great for this beach photo.  The orange dinghy I just cut out with my cricut and for some fun I added some burlap!  I distressed the edges of my pages and inked them up with my distress ink.  All the bits and bobs are just from my stash.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog and see the rest of the great projects we have for you, as well as to enter to win a fabulous prize for this week’s challenge.  I look forward to stopping by your blogs to check out what you create!
