A coffee lover’s birthday

**if you are looking for the UYS blog hop click here**

Happy Friday all! Can you believe we are already into June…the year is 1/2 over already! It just seems to sneak in there!

Ok..so…..another fun challenge over at Brown Sugar Challenges….

our theme this week is CELEBRATIONS!

No doubt there is lots to celebrate in June…weddings, graduations, babies, birthdays…last day of school! woohoo!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps!  and our winner this week will receive 4 digital stamps! Sweet!

My card this week is for a friend who is a big coffee lover!  I thought it would be fun to make a coffee themed birthday card using JJ Coffee to Go.  I used the image for my card but it also comes with a sentiment as well.

I used some DP scraps that I had been working with for some previous projects and I stamped the cardstock using a couple of Stampin Up stamps (gorgeous grunge & timeless textures).  The sentiment I just printed out on my computer.  I added a few sequins from my stash, a star punch and the hat I stamped from another birthday stamp set (sorry can’t remember the name now!) and cut out.  I colored JJ just with my copics and then die cut her with my favorite CC designs oval die.

I hope you like the card and be sure to stop by the blog so you can see what the other DT ladies have created for you and to play along! Can’t wait to see what you create!

The Breakfast Club…

has got to be hands down, one of my fave 80′ movies EVA!!! It rocks.  ‘Nuff said.

That is our inspiration for the new challenge at Red Carpet Studio for the next 2 weeks.

So the idea is to create a project with breakfast in mind…your favorite food perhaps?  A favorite eating place?  Pancakes gone wrong??? You decide.

For me, I was excited to finally use this new stamp set from Stampin’ Up.  LOVE IT!

What is breakfast without COFFEE right? Personally, I don’t know as I don’t drink coffee, but I really wanted to use this stamp set..LOL

All the items on this card are from Stampin Up.  Totally love this new hexagon punch.  The splatters are (I believe) from the Gorgeous Grunge set (so versatile).  I added some corrugated cardboard and a little button with twine for some texture.   It was also embossed.  (totally can’t remember the embossing folder name, sorry ;( )

So, wipe the sleep from your eyes, brew a cup, and scuttle in your slippers over to the blog to see the other great projects from the DT this week.  We can’t wait to see how you do breakfast!

Get Well Soon

So I’m kinda excited here!  4 Crafty Chicks asked me to stay on for another month as their Guest Designer!  Of course I said yes!  I’m really excited to be doing another month with this great set of ladies!

So our challenge this week is get well soon.  I never seem to have enough get well cards and I am always coming across friends who are feeling under the weather and it is so nice to send a bit of a pick me up!

I got this new stamp set from Stampin Up that I have been wanting to use and so I was surfing around Pinterest and found a couple of cards that caught my eye so I decided to incorporate what I liked best about both of them into this fun little card.

Stamps: Gorgeous Grundge, A Perfect Blend (Stampin up); unknown sentiment stamp

Ink: Walnut Stain, Gathered Twigs (Ranger), red (unknown)

Other: copic markers

Paper: Stash

I hope you like this card and please stop by the blog and play along with us this week and to check out the other great projects the DT has for you.  They are also having a GDT call so please apply!  These are wonderful ladies to work with.
