Coffee

It’s Wednesday my peeps!  It’s been a bit of an issue here, as I recently broke my toe and have not had much time to get scrappy between rest and pain meds!

I did want to share with you a fun card for this week’s challenge at Penny’s.  Our sponsors this week are

Little Blue Button  ($10 gift certificate for their online store)

and

Paper Shelter Paper Shelter    ($10 gift certificate for their online store)

Today I am using some images from Little Blue Button’s Coffee Love collection.

I used one of the sentiments as well as the coffee beans which I cut out individually.  I printed out the coffee cups 2x on some kraft cardstock and then again on some Your Next Stamp DP to do the centre pieces.  The background DP is from YNS’s Crazy for Coffee collection.  I used my white gel pen to color the tops of the coffee cups and to just add some faux stitching around the card.

I hope you like it and please stop by the blog to see the other great projects the DT has created from our wonderful sponsors this week!

Challenges are Opportunities

Today I have this cute little card that I made for a challenge on the Scrapshotz forum.  The theme was encouragement.

The DP is from my stash but I do believe it is a Basic Grey.  The image was sent to me in a swap but is one I’ve used before but I thought it would be perfect paired with the sentiment stamp from K. Andrew.  I won this set called Positive Thoughts.  I have been dying to use them since they arrived and thought that this was perfect.  I sewed the buttons (Fancy Pants: On a Whismsey which I have had forever and not used yet! ) on with some embroidery thread.  The butterflies were part of a bunch of little wooden ones I received from a secret pal.  So I just inked them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Scattered Straw) and then put some glossy accents over top.  A little white gel pen stitching and voila.  I hope you like it.

Entered into the following challenges:

Lawnscaping Challenge: use Patterned Paper

Simon Says Stamp: show some texture

the Crazy Challenge: Childhood Memories

Amusing Challenges: anything Goes

Great Impressions: Die Cuts or Punches

Lets Ink it Up: favorite embellishment ( I love buttons and also anything I can add ink to, like the butterflies)

Aud Sentiments: Any sentiment

Southern Girls: Diecuts or Punches

Robyn’s Fetish…….this week at Lollipop Crafts Robyn is offering one lucky winner  5 digital images or 4 digital images and one digital paper set of your choice. What a great prize! It’s the sponsor spotlight today on the blog so you can find out all about Robyn and her great images as well as see some new inspiration pieces from the Design Team.

Here is the one that I created using a sketch that Gloria had put up back in April for the CanadianScrapSwapChat monthly card challenge.  This month we had to pick a previous sketch and use it for a new piece.

All the paper are just scraps from my stash (I can’t believe that I have so many, even after I did a scrap swap!)  The ribbon is from my stash. I used one of my MS border punches.  The stitching is fake using some old rub-ons that I found that I have had FOREVER!  I colored Robyn’s image using my Copics.   The THANKYOU is an old rub on as well.  This is just a really simple card.  It’s hard to tell from the picture but the orange border isn’t glued down all the way so that it kinda sticks up a bit for a bit of dimension.

Enjoy and you still have time to enter this week’s recipe challenge at LC! You can find out more here.

I’ve entered this in the following challenges:

FabnFunky Challenges: Stitching

Ruby’s Rainbow: Stitching

City Crafter Challenge: Scrap Happy (use scraps..)

Shopping Our Stash: Our Weakest Link (that thing you just have to buy..for me RIBBON! I have soooooooooooooooooo much ribbon it’s crazy).

Try it on Tuesday: Anything Goes

Tuesday Throwdown: Non-stamped sentiment
