Hello! I want to share with you a card that I created for theFestive Friday Creative Challenge!
This is what they gave us to work with and the challenge is to use any three on your project!
Here’s my card, using this month’s Sheetload of Cards from Call Me Crafty Al. You can find the link here, to see how you too can get these really fun monthly sketches!
Here is my card!
I managed to incorporate quite a few of the suggestions in this card! I used some pieces from my October 2018 SCT Sampler…
The DP is from Bella Blvd’s Sweet & Spooky Collection (flowers and polkadots). The stamped image (green) and sentiment (friendship sentiment) is from Stampin Up as are the inks. I did emboss the sentiment using some Stampendous embossing powder (embossing). The die cut is also from Stampin up and the vellum is my last of the Doodlebug! (I got a lot of projects out of that 12×12 sheet!). To finish it off, just some bling from my stash (sparkle).
If you want a fun challenge the Festive Friday blog has some great ones and this one is open until the 30th.
Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

SIX lucky, randomly drawn winners. The rules of this challenge:
- Your card must be new and the sketch must be identifiable.

So now that is out of the way, here’s the sketch!
and here’s my take!
I modified it a bit to work with my embossed paper. I was working on some autumn cards for a magazine call out so I thought I would throw this one in there…The DP are from doodlebug and my stash. The embossed paper is recollections and I believe the little stickers are from Echo Park.
Don’t forget to play along with us this week, for a chance to win those great prizes that you can find over on the blog here!
Welcome to Tuesday!
Here we go with our latest sketch challenge on Tuesday Morning Sketches! This is a pretty one!
For fun on this one, I had my son pick out 5 cues from my challenge bucket to use on my card. This is a great idea if sometimes you have trouble getting your mojo going. I have this bucket that lists all kinds of scrappy goodies on a piece of paper, ie patterned paper, twine, ribbon, embossing, stamping, eyelets etc. Then you pick 5 and incorporate them into your project! So the 5 he picked for me were
twine, freebie, washi tape, embossing (heat or dry), tiny type word stickers
So this is what turned out!
For the freebie, I used the leaf die cuts! It turned out pretty good I think. I had this DP in my autumn folder for awhile now and I wanted to use it.
I hope you will play along with us this week!
Hey there! Still with me…. Does this quarantine feel like it’s going on forever?? I must say though, I’ve done more crafting during this quarantine than I probably have done all last year! Nuts!
OK….our Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge is up! Here it is!
This is a nice one! Lots to work with! I went pretty simple for mine and just used some scraps I had in my box and a sentiment from my jar. The flower is just from a pack of die cuts that I opened up last week and had sitting on my desk. There is nothing fancy about this card but I love the simplicity of it and it’s a perfect sketch for feminine/masculine and any occasion. Make it your own! Remember a sketch is a recipe not a rule book….
Remember to hop over to the blog to play along and also to see the other great projects from the Design Team to inspire you!
So here we are! December 1st. Can you believe it! How many sleeps until the big guy comes????
I am teaching a card class at my mom’s senior’s home next week, and I wanted to share with you one of the cards that we will be creating which is also my DT contribution this month for the Christmas Crafts All Year Round December challenge.
Our theme is anything goes. I was inspired by a card that I saw on Sarah Lloyd’s blog where you can find here.
I knew I wanted to use this cork paper that I have had in my stash forever! It’s really hard to see but I ran it through my twigs embossing folder first. The sentiment set is from Stampin Up which I stamped right onto the cork paper. Then I punched out a couple of the twigs from my Stampin Up punch. I have had this deer die for awhile now and have used it on many different projects, so I cut a bunch out of some gold glitter paper. He is popped up against the white circle. I took the little snowflakes from his body and added it as an embellishment with some sequins. I also used washi tape for the strip. The circle background is from the Jolie’s Boutique paper pack that I’ve used for a few projects now.
I hope you like it and drop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created and link up to win this month’s prize.

For my project, I’m sharing a box card with you that I made in my card class last month. This was really fun to do and is built on a die set from Lawn Fawn as are the images. We did a bit of embossing and stamping and added some awesome glitter pieces for some great color and texture.

Oh my gosh! Here we are in the last full week of October. This year has just flown by, or maybe it’s just me….
I’m still working primarily on Christmas cards to prepare for my craft fair in November, so I have a lovely one to share with you today for the Cardz4Guyz challenge this week. Our theme is Into the Woods – creating a project that has an aspect of the woods to it. It could be a woodland creature, leaves, trees, rustic etc. Lots of ideas to play around with.
I’ve had this die cut sitting on my desk waiting to be used for quite awhile now. It was sent to me in a swap and I’ve been longing to use it up so I just decided that this was it. I chose to go with a White on White card, probably because I rarely do them but they just look so good!
I paired the image with the falling snow enbossing folder from Stampin Up as well as the Christmas Thinlits PEACE which I cut out of some silver foil. The bling is from my stash and then I went over the image with a bit of Wink of Stella for just a hint of shimmer.
I hope it makes you smile and I also hope that you will hop over to the blog to see what the rest of the DT has created and also to play along with us. We would love to see what you are creating this week!
I’ve had this little deer die cut for awhile now and have been dying to use it, so I thought it would work great for the Use Your Stuff challenge this week which is
The theme is to create a project that features something that you would find in the forest, could be a critter, trees, bushes, lumberjacks, whatever sparks your imagination…..
The deer and the grass were sent to me in a swap awhile ago so I was excited to finally get to use them. The embossed background is from provocraft and I’ve had it forever. The enamel dots are I believe doodlebop….believe it or not, all these items have been hanging around my desk for awhile now, so I was happy to create a fun little card with them.
Be sure to hop on over to the UYS blog and see what the rest of the design team found in the forest and to play along with us! See you there!

As you are reading this, I am in deep preparation for my weekend crop with Creative Scrapbooker Magazine…although it is actually called the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival, we just call it Carnival! It’s on Friday & Saturday this week. My two friends and I have been going for several years and it is one of the 5 crops that we attend yearly! It’s a big deal! 🙂
Southern Girls Challenge is new today….Team Trace is wanting to see spots! Spots & Dots is our theme this week!
Our sponsors are
My image is from Paper Shelter called Hammock Days. I colored her with my copics and then fussy cut and laid her out against my embossed dot background. I added a few banners from some scraps in my stash that had some small dots on them, and then a cute little word tag from Tim Holtz.
A sweet little card for a sweet image. I hope you will stop by the blog and play along with us this week!
Talk to you soon, and happy crafting!
OK, we are in June I know, but I’m slowly working my way through my SCT sampler packs, starting at the beginning. The January sampler had some great pieces. I was down to my last little bits to create this card for the Sketch -N- Scrap sketch challenge for June.
I embossed the cardstock with my Darice butterflies folder. The DP and the sequins are from the kit and the sentiment is from MFT. The butterfly focal is from K&Co, which I thought worked well with these little pieces.
Thanks for stopping by!
