TMS #564

Is it Tuesday already?  Have you been to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog yet?  Our new sketch is there….

I didn’t want to do a flower for my card, and that’s the great thing about a sketch..you can interpret it the way that you want that fits your style.  I’ve had this Doodlebug Doodlepop sitting on my desk forever and I finally wanted to use it!

So I pulled out some random coffee papers from my stash…i think there is mostly Echo Park and some Stampin Up in there.  I added the doodlepops and then the sentiment is from Ink Road Stamps

Head on over to the blog and see what the other DT have created.  Don’t forget to leave them some love!

Happy Blogversary TMS!

So now that is out of the way, here’s the sketch!

and here’s my take!

I modified it a bit to work with my embossed paper.  I was working on some autumn cards for a magazine call out so I thought I would throw this one in there…The DP are from doodlebug and my stash.  The embossed paper is recollections and I believe the little stickers are from Echo Park.

Don’t forget to play along with us this week, for a chance to win those great prizes that you can find over on the blog here!

TMS #552 – Yay I’m on the Team

Hey everyone!

I am really happy to announce that I have been asked to join the Tuesday Morning SketchesDT!  I love their sketches and I’m pretty excited!  So this is my first week! Woohoo!

So we have a prize for this week’s challenge! It is the CTMH stamp ” Full of Beauty”

Pretty great right!  Here is this week’s sketch to play along with!

Lots you can do with it!  Go as it, quarter turn, half turn ….DP, card stock mixed media..use it for a tag even….it’s there to inspire you!

So here’s mine!  I went with some left over coffee papers and elements that I’ve had left sitting on my desk from previous projects.  I think this is mainly some Echo Park and I believe the sentiment is from Kraftin Kimmie from the coffee & friends set.  I added some wood veneer pieces that I just colored with my copics to add some color and a few enamel dots I had hanging around.

Be sure to stop by the blog and to check out the other DT creations to get you inspired today!

Most importantly, don’t forget to play along! We want to see how this inspires you!

Life is Good

I hope you all had an awesome weekend and remembered to set your clocks back an hour!  My favorite time of year. 🙂

Our Pile It On challenge is up and running!  Our great sponsor this month is Dr. Digi

The theme for this month is Pets/Animals.  Always a fun one!

I am using the digi Sofa So Good which I though was just adorable!

dav

I needed to keep this as flat as possible as I plan to mail it out to my Baker’s Dozen Partner so I went with lots of layers.  The DP is from Lawn Fawn and Echo Park.  I colored the image with Copics and then cut it out with my MFT Crossstich Rectangle Die.  A few Nuovo dots and we are good to go!

Be sure to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT have created for you.  Looking forward to seeing what you create!~

Hello Walt

Hello Monday Peeps!  Have you stopped by the UYS blog today? Our new challenge is up!  This week we are using triangles!

So I decided to go with a layout today because I really wanted to try a background die cut.  I came across this one from Bits and Pieces .   which I uploaded to my Cricut Explore Air and then cut out.   I thought it would be fun to do a Disney Layout and back the pieces with my Disney papers.  The actual diecut is called Shattered Glass but it has some fun triangle pieces to it.

I used DP from Simple Stories & Echo Park, as well as their embellishments.  The sentiments are die cuts from Stampin Up and the internet.

I hope you like the layout and feel free to stop by the blog and play along with this week’s challenge!

Celebrate — A Card and a new DT spot

Hey there!

I am so very excited to share that I have been asked to join the  Cardz 4 Guyz Design Team.  This is a great challenge site if you really want to work on those masculine cards that you never seem to have enough of!  Or maybe that’s just me…….. 🙂

Our challenge this week is Fashion….this is a fun one, and not a challenge that I have ever done on a card before!  Luckily, I have the Stampin Up Guy Greetings which I don’t use enough but has some great hats and shoes!

This is the card I created for you today!

dav

Along with the stamp set, I used the DP from the Echo Park Petticoats and Pinstripes 6×6 pack.  I really love the colors in this.  I stamped the shoes and hats onto some DP in the Island Indigo and then I stamped and cut out one of each in a black, just to set it off a bit.  I had some washi in a co-ordinating color that I think added a bit of pop to that one panel and then the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  I added just a few bling dots from Stampin Up.

I hope you like it, and please play along with us on the blog..we can’t wait to see what you create!

Happy Retirement

I have used the Paper Shelter Businessman image for this week’s challenge at the Color Crazy Craft Challenge Blog.  I decided to make a simple Happy Retirement card, and so I just did some basic copic coloring.  My DP is the Petticoats and Pinestripes 6×6 paper pack from Echo Park that I’ve had for awhile and not really used very much! It was nice to give it a run.  I used a couple of die cuts – the CC Designs oval to cut out the image and mat and then I used the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders to give an edge to one of the papers.  I knew I wanted to keep this card simple so the stitched edge just adds a bit of dimension.  The sentiment is Milestone Moments by Stampin’ Up.

Our challenge as always is anything goes, so I hope you will stop by and join us!

Eggspecially for you

Hey there!

I’ve got a fun card today for the Mojo Monday challenge.  Here is the sketch they put up for this week!

This is the card that I made!

dav

I don’t make a lot of Easter cards but I needed this one for a swap on Splitcoast Stampers that I am in.  The chick paper and the glittery pink is from my stash, but the fun bunny paper is from Echo Park’s Spring 6×6 pack!  (I am making a conscious effort to crack open the 50+ 6×6 packs that I have and actually use them!  The sentiment is from craft lounge and the fun chick is a sticker I picked up in the $$ store as are the enamel dots. The ink is from Colorbox.  I really love this card and I hope you do too!

December Daily

Hello everyone!  It is with a heavy heart that I write this post.  It is sad to tell you that Use It Tuesday’s last challenge will be with this challenge.   After 3 years the blog and the team has gone through many personal and professional changes and have remained a close family.  The team has decided that the blog deserves much more love than we are able to give at this time.  We have enjoyed inspiring you each week and we hope that you have enjoyed it as well!

Our last challenge for you is WINTER AND HOLIDAYS

I wanted to share with you the first page in my December Daily.  I have never done one of these before but thought that it might be fun to give it a shot.

Meet Sam!

HPIM1320

Sam is our Elf on a Shelf!  We just got it for this year.  Another new tradition!  The paper is from Echo Park (and we all know how hard it is for me to part with my EP!  The other little bits are just from my Christmas stash.  I am having fun with this…adding layers and pages.  I’m sure I will be showing more as we go along!

I hope that you will stop by the blog and play along with us this week and to say goodbye to the team!  We have some wonderful inspiration for you this week.

Happy Holidays

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  I kid you not,  we have snow here in Calgary today.  It may not last long, but it is definitely here today.  😦

I am excited to bring you my first project as a member of the Use Your Stuff DT.  Our Challenge this week is to use eyelets on your project.  I will admit.  I have lots of eyelets, a crop a dile and yet, I don’t seem to be able to put them together on a regular basis.  It was fun to get them out this time and use them for this Christmas card.

HPIM1277 HPIM1278

I picked up this great new Sizzix flip it die from Stephanie Barnard while I was at my crop on Saturday and am just loving it!    The DP is from Echo Park (yes I finally broke into my EP stash.  It’s A Very Merry Christmas) and the ornament is from my stash as are the buttons, eyelets and twine.  I hope you like this card and be sure to stop by our blog and play along in this week’s challenge.
