Hello you! Here I am with this week’s new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches!
This is what I created! I bet you thought it was going to be another rainbow card didn’t you!
I started with that 3×4 journalling card as the inspiration for my card. I added two more card cut down to balance it out and then the coffee are from Stampin Up. I added a few sequins and some background paper from Photoplay Paper. I really love the colors on this!
C’mon over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and play along with us! Check out what the rest of the DT has put together for you as well.
Hey Everyone! This week we are working with Debi’s favorite sketch on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog! which is this fun Tall & Skinny one from March 10th!
This is what I came up with for this go round.
I used the Echo Park COFFEE collection to do this card. I really wanted to finish the paper pack and had just enough, although I still have a lot of the frames/tags and die cuts left over for some other projects. I also added some American Craft cording to the tag.
Now time to head on over to the blog to see the rest of the great DT creations!
I didn’t want to do a flower for my card, and that’s the great thing about a sketch..you can interpret it the way that you want that fits your style. I’ve had this Doodlebug Doodlepop sitting on my desk forever and I finally wanted to use it!
So I pulled out some random coffee papers from my stash…i think there is mostly Echo Park and some Stampin Up in there. I added the doodlepops and then the sentiment is from Ink Road Stamps
Head on over to the blog and see what the other DT have created. Don’t forget to leave them some love!
I am really happy to announce that I have been asked to join the Tuesday Morning SketchesDT! I love their sketches and I’m pretty excited! So this is my first week! Woohoo!
So we have a prize for this week’s challenge! It is the CTMH stamp ” Full of Beauty”
Pretty great right! Here is this week’s sketch to play along with!
Lots you can do with it! Go as it, quarter turn, half turn ….DP, card stock mixed media..use it for a tag even….it’s there to inspire you!
So here’s mine! I went with some left over coffee papers and elements that I’ve had left sitting on my desk from previous projects. I think this is mainly some Echo Park and I believe the sentiment is from Kraftin Kimmie from the coffee & friends set. I added some wood veneer pieces that I just colored with my copics to add some color and a few enamel dots I had hanging around.
Be sure to stop by the blog and to check out the other DT creations to get you inspired today!
Most importantly, don’t forget to play along! We want to see how this inspires you!
Today’s card pairs an image from Kraftin Kimmie designs with some Stampin Up Designer Paper. I have just a bit of this coffee paper left and I think I am going to make up a batch of cards to get it finished. The stamp is called One Cup at A Time, and I use it a lot! The sentiment I printed off of the internet and then added some hearts with my little heart punch.
I hope you like it and don’t forget to join us for this week’s challenge! Can’t wait to see what you create!
Ya, it’s still cold and snowy here. Sigh. I’ve about had it with winter. One of the down falls of living in Calgary, it’s winter for like 9 months out of the year it seems!
Today I have a fun card for the Kraftin Kimmie Challenge! It’s been awhile since I’ve used my KK stamps so I thought it was time.
The theme is glitter! There is also a sketch on the blog that I used as well. You can find the deets on their challenge here.
The stamp is from Kraftin Kimmie called One Cup at A time. I think I bought this one about a year and a half ago, because I wanted to start doing all these coffee inspired cards and then I kinda just forgot about it! I’m glad I brought it out again, and it definitely has been getting a work out. I paired it with the Stampin Up coffee papers (I’m trying to use these up now, so you’ll be seeing a lot of coffee cards in the next few days). This was a pinterest inspired card, which I altered a bit to fit the sketch. I used a square of glittered cardstock for the challenge in a coffee brown color (again, something else that I’ve not been utilizing enough). I also added a few Nuevo dots for a bit of texture. I also used the Stampin Up Hardwood stamp to ink onto one of the banners ( I actually had to crack this one open as I’d not even used it since I bought it last year) as well as the stampin up banners framelits. I hope you like it, and don’t forget to play along in their challenge!
Hello again! What? Two posts in a row..can it really be?? Yep, this is me trying to be more creative this year (my one word for the year if you must know) and trying to do a lot more stuff in my craft room than I did last year, and that is including layouts as well as cards.
My big crafty resolution for this year, is to start doing all those online classes that I have paid for and not attempted yet….I think I have 5 or 6 just from Scrapbook & Cards Today (who by the way launched their 365 Class for 2018! Here are the deets! ) This double-page, sketch-based class features exclusive PageMaps sketches, trendy techniques (all spelled out in photos), a monthly bonus card, cutting files, complete instructions and so much more. All taught by some of the biggest names in the biz…really fun and new this year, there is a monthly sponsored prize for doing the challenge! How fun is that????
Anyway, here are a couple of cards that I made for a swap on Splitcoast Stampers. The theme was Caffeine.
I finally broke open my Stampin Up Coffee Suite Designer papers and used the SU The Perfect Blend stamp set as well as the Kraftin Kimmie – One Cup at a Time. The sentiments are from Stampin up and Paper Smooches. I added in some small embellising on the first one, with some Nuvo drops. Since I was mailing these out, I wanted to keep them as flat and simple as possible.
I used one of the sentiments as well as the coffee beans which I cut out individually. I printed out the coffee cups 2x on some kraft cardstock and then again on some Your Next Stamp DP to do the centre pieces. The background DP is from YNS’s Crazy for Coffee collection. I used my white gel pen to color the tops of the coffee cups and to just add some faux stitching around the card.
I hope you like it and please stop by the blog to see the other great projects the DT has created from our wonderful sponsors this week!
