Vacation Paradise

Happy Sunday everyone!  Another snowy day here in Calgary.  Yes, you read right.  Snow.. already spring and it is still snowing..  Ugh!  I will be so glad when spring will actually make an appearance.

In honor of the nice weather that is supposed to be here we have a new challenge for you at Red Carpet Studio this week.  Using the awesome movie (and my #2 favorite) Beaches….

Spring having sprung, vacations being planned, & relaxing times on the horizon, create a project inspired by a beach.  Do you have vacation pictures that need scrapped?  Are you partial to beach colors?  We can’t see how you are inspired!

As many of you know, we regularly hit Cuba each year for our family vacation.  I decided to do a layout with that in mind.  On cold yukky days like this, I go back to those warm tropical breezes, the ocean and gorgeous beaches  that I love so much.

I used an old cloud 9 set that I’ve had for a very very long time.  LOL.  It had co-ordinating embellishments which were perfect for this layout.  I hope you will stop by the blog and check out the great beach inspiration from the DT and play along with us.

Lucky Me

Well, one of my favorite holidays will be coming up soon.  Yep, St. Patrick’s day…love me the green!! 🙂

It kinda ties in with our new challenge at Red Carpet Studio this week.  Our theme is The Lucky One

the challenge is to create a project a project that signifies Luck…maybe it’s St. Patrick’s day related, or something that is lucky to you or you feel lucky to have.  Even just something green. 🙂

For me, I always feel that I am truly lucky and blessed to have my son.  I had a miscarriage before him, and thought for sure that I would never have another child and lo and behold, luck was on my side, or providence, God’s grace or whatever you believe…I was blessed with the most amazing little man.

Here is a layout from one our first trips to Cuba with little guy…he was small enough to fit in the suitcase (not that he travelled to Cuba that way! 🙂 )

The DP is from Cloud 9 which I think is called Travel.  All the embellishments and journal stickers are from my stash.  I’ve had them so long I don’t remember anymore where they came from 🙂

I hope you like the layout and please play along with us this week.  We can’t wait to see what you create!
