TMS #668

Hello friends! Here is this week’s sketch for you on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog!

This is the last little bit from my SCT sampler! I used one of the die cuts included with the sampler and then I added a sentiment from one of dies in my stash. Some black Nuevo drops and we are good to go.

Be sure to stop by the blog and see the great creations from the rest of the DT.

A new (favorite) technique !

For day 2 of the Spring Card Class 2022 with Kristina and Jennifer, I learned a new technique called Joseph’s Coat which is pretty cool. It when you create an inked up card panel, and then stencil over it in black ink. How cool is this!!

I created my rainbow background panel using inks from Your Next Stamp, Lawn Fawn and The Stamp Market. The star stencil I used was distressed stars from Plaid Crafts which I used with black Memento Ink. I heat embossed a sentiment from Stampin Up for the focal point and then just a few clear enamel dots.

This card was based on the Cathy Zielske example for the class. I’m pretty sure I’m going to chalk this up as a new favorite because it is just so easy and makes such an impact on your project. I love the effect!

Thanks for stopping by.

Lollipop Crafts 2 Year Blogaversary Hop!!

Lollipop Crafts is celebrating 2 years of challenge blogging!!!  Wow, doesn’t feel like it’s been 2 years, but it really has been according to the calendar!  Time surely flies by when you’re having fun!!  We have a special treat for you in honor of our marking.  A BLOG HOP!!!   yep, filled with lots of surprises!  The blog hop runs from today August 1st until August 4th.  So if you don’t have time to check out everyone today, you can come back tomorrow and finish the hop.

If you hopped onto my blog by chance, PLEASE head back to Lollipop Crafts blog and begin your celebrating there.  There’s so much going on you don’t want to miss out on fun and surprises.   You should have reached my blog from Juelmarie’s  blog.

In addition to our celebration and blog hopping fun, we have a SPECIAL challenge just for this celebration too.  Hurry though, this challenge ends on the 4th at Midnight PST as well.  The challenge is CELEBRATION!!  Any celebration that is, birthday, anniversary, new baby, wedding and more!  Link up your celebration creations to InLinkz on the LC blog.

Just so you know, there are hidden prizes around the DT blogs, so don’t miss out on visiting everyone and there are 2 prizes on the LC blog – one for a random hopper who leaves a comment on the LC blog and one for participating in the challenge.

As well, just for this hop we have a fabulous guest designer joining us!  It’s Barbara from Forgotten Scraps!  You are going to meet her at the end of the hop!

So I’ve got a great couple of cards for you for this Celebration!  I am not going to tell you who my sponsor is for it!  I am hoping that you can guess by looking at the image!

Leave me a comment telling me who you think my sponsor is, and after the blog hop I will announce and from all the correct guesses, will randomly pick a name to receive a small batch of goodies from me! ūüôā   I am going to be away until the 13th tending to some important family matters but I will try to post my winner before then and the prize will be mailed out when I get back.

This card represented just a personal celebration! I love shopping and anytime I can have the chance to do so, works for me.  If I have to pick an obscure celebration like National Happiness Happens month (people actually celebrate this) I am all for it. Any excuse to hit the mall!

I created this one with some Basic Grey papers I had used for another project.  The image is colored with copics and my sew easy ink stitcher added a bit of faux stitching.  The sentiment is just printed out from my computer.  Ribbon and bling are from my stash.

and card #2

This one is just a fun birthday card.  Who doesn’t love to shop for new stuff with all the gift cards and cash for their birthday! I was working on another project and came across this kit that I had of birthday papers from Hot off the Press.  I had totally forgotten about them.  I am loving the colors so I have started to use them over again.  Again the image is colored with my copics and I have added some big brads, bling and twine from my stash.  The kit came with some word art so I thought it would be fun to add that as well.

Thanks for stopping by! and now it is time for you to hop along.  Your next stop is Mimi who has another great sponsor for you to check out!
When you’re done with the hop, make sure to stop by the LC blog again and say so.  Have Fun!!!

Lollipop Crafts Celebration Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

“It’s time for a CELEBRATION!!!¬† Lollipop Crafts is celebrating their ONE YEAR BLOGAVERSARY and you are sweetly invited to join the fun!
First of all, we are back from summer break with our weekly challenge.¬† The theme this week is CELEBRATION!¬† Create a card/project with a celebration theme (ex. birthday, anniversary, wedding, new baby, graduation, etc)¬† We all have something to celebrate right?¬† It is the first challenge of the month and that means we are sponsored this week by Meljen’s Designs.¬†
One lucky random challenge player this week will win a fantastic prize.  Be sure to link your creations with InLinkz on the LC blog for a chance.  Check out the challenge rules too!
Secondly, it wouldn’t be a celebration without some FUN!¬† Join in on our Anniversary blog hop!¬† You have until tomorrow (Tuesday at midnight PST) to visit and comment on each DT member’s blog.¬† Make sure you visit each of us because their are hidden prizes (the DT doesn’t even know who has the prizes).¬† Winners will be announced on Wednesday.¬† List of blog hop sponsors can be found on the LC blog and the master blog hop order is there too!
You should have arrived here from Kim’s¬† blog.¬† If you hopped here by chance, please¬†head over¬†to Lollipop Crafts and begin your¬†journey there.
Using Meljen’s Bunbun image (this is so adorable) I created this cute little birthday card.¬† One can never have enough birthday cards in my opinion.

The DP is from Bazill (Grandma’s Feather Bed).¬† The image is colored with copics with just a hint of paper piecing with the party hat and cupcake.¬†¬† I also added just a bit of stickles as well.¬† The ribbon is from my stash and I cut the balloons out using my Celebrations cartridge and then ran them through the cuttlebug with the polkadots folder.¬† Since my FB win with Whisker Graphics, I’ve been using a lot of their baker’s twine which I incorporated here for the balloon strings.¬† The sentiment is a stamp set from Hot Off the Press.¬† I hope you like it!

Now it’s time for you to hop on over¬†to¬† Zulma’s¬† blog¬† to see what she has created for you and don’t forget to leave her some some sugar!!”

Meet Little Miss Muffet Designs

Here’s what founder Barbara has to say about her new store:

“Little Miss Muffet Designs is the newest digital stamp source on the web created by Barbara from Forgotten Scraps . ¬†This little shoppe was inspired by a house full of Little Miss Muffets and arachnophobes alike. It was opened with a bit of luck and loads of encouragement from friends and
fellow bloggers around the world.  Challenges and inspiration can be found
on my personal blog at Forgotten Scraps and the 2nd challenge opened this week! ¬†Digital stamps, handmade cards & crafts and more can be found in the store… and who know what I’ll add
along the way.  I hope you join me in this new endeavor so come on over and
join as a Follower and watch it grow!”

To begin the celebration, the Lollipop girls were asked to create a card to help Barb celebrate her new store.  I love love love her little monsters digis and so I was very excited to use this one called Monster Love.

The DP is from an old Hot off the Press birthday pack that I had and it just has some great celebration papers in it! I love the purple and yellow combo together with the splash of green!  I colored of course with my Copics and then cut it out in a circle and added it to a scallop that I cut out with my cricut.  The buttons are from my stash!

Make sure you check out Barb’s store and get yourself some of these adorable monsters (she also has freebies!) and don’t forget to play in her challenges as well!

Good Morning!¬† Bright and early and I’ve already been to the dentist.¬† Good checkup for me..nothing to worry about which is what I like to hear.¬† I was working on this card last nite for Sweet Sketch Wednesday.¬† I decided to do a 3-D cupcake rather than a stamped image and definately something other than Christmas for a change.¬† I needed some birthday cards that could be used for men or for kids and I wanted to use up some of this paper that I had from other projects so it seemed like a good idea.¬† I used my Celebrations Cricut cartridge for the image and the words and then just some buttons to add to it.¬† Yellow stickles for the cupcake and voila!¬† Enjoy!
