CCC- Ribbon or Twine

Sorry everyone! This post is late!

Our January theme is on the blog for Christmas Craft Creations and you just need to head over to play along….what is the challenge you ask??

This month’s prize is a brand new Cozy Christmas stamp set, generously donated by Boryana. The prize winner will be picked randomly from among those entrants who have followed all the rules. Rules are in the side bar of the blog if you need a refresher.

Here is my card!

The paper is from my stash christmas box. The sentiment and the cute little cozy cups are from Lawn Fawn’s Love you a Latte collection. The red twine that I used for this one is from American Crafts. I cut the die cut ovals with one of my faves, my good ol’ CC Designs Oval die. a cute little card to send to someone on a cold day.

Now head on over to the blog and get in on this month’s challenge to win that great prize and also to see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

Your Smile

Happy Monday!

Today I have a card that was part of my Stampin Up stamper’s group.  We all got this card kit with a bunch of elements and had to pick 3 of them to create our card.  I chose the flower the sentiment and the DP.  I also used the teal border that was in the kit.

I don’t know which set this is from as it was a pre-stamped image for me. I just colored it with my copics and added some wink of Stella for a bit of shine. I added the black oval from my CC Design’s oval die cuts and some enamel dots from I believe Carta Bella!  I love the teal with the rose gold!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!  Stay Safe Everyone!

You are my sunshine

Hello all!

Just a fun card today…I am in a swap on a FB group called Canadians Crafting with Paper.  Our theme is BEACH.

So, here’s the card I created for my partner.  I did a little bit of mixed media for the background using some of the Tim Holtz distress inks.  I then cut a circle out with my sizzix die and added some sequins, pearls and glitter to create a shaker.  I put a little bit of the turquoise cardstock behind the shakers so it blended a bit better.   I colored my image from CC Designs (DUDE – I actually cracked this one open for the first time although I think I’ve had it for at least 2 or 3 years in my stash!) with my copics and stamped the sentiment from Hello Bluebird.  A few enamel dots from Michael’s and voila!  I’m really pleased with how it turned out and I hope my partner likes it!

Weight Watchers & Wine

Happy Wednesday all!  It’s challenge day at Penny’s and to go with our anything goes theme, we have a couple of great sponsors again this week!

Our first sponsor is Oddball Art, who will be providing 3 images from their store for the winner this week!

Our second sponsor is Sparkle & Sprinkle who is also providing 3 images of the winners choice!

Sparkle N Sprinkle

My card today is using one from Sparkle & Sprinkle! It’s called Wine Friends.  It actually comes with 2 sentiments but this is the one that caught my eye when I saw it!

I did just some basic watercoloring for the image this week.  I used this week’s  sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The DP is just from my stash.  The sequins are from Stampin Up and I broke out my new Nuovo Dots in black for just a bit of an extra touch.

I cut the image/sentiment out using my CC designs die and my big shot.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog and see the fabulous creations by the DT using images from both sponsors!  Jump in and play with our anything goes challenge! Can’t wait to see what you create!

A Little Brown Sugar

Hello Bloggers!!!  So ummm ya, today is my first project with Brown Sugar Designs.  Yep! I am on the design team and am super excited!

Let me tell you about this week’s challenge…our theme this week is DIE CUTS.  You know you have lots of them waiting to be used, so pull them out!  Just pick one and work your card around it, that’s always fun!

The challenge this week is being sponsored by DIGITAL PAPER CRAFT who is so graciously offering 3 digis of the winners choice!

DPC-SPONSOR

Today I’m using this adorable digi called Me and Ted.

How cute is that bear!  I did some coloring with my copics but I also did some paper piecing for her dress.  I used a variety of die cuts on this card.  The little white leaves were given to me in a swap.  The ovals are from CC designs (I got the dies in a swap!) and the Hello is from Stampin Up.  A few little gems from my stash and we are good to go.

I hope that you will play along with us this week.  We are excited to see what you can create!

STTS challenge cards

Okay.  I did these two up last nite as part of my Siphoning through the stash challenge.  I think they turned out pretty well.

This first one I am using for a swap card the theme being ‘A’ which of course is for Apple.  I used some PP from my stash and I have no idea who it is by.  The apple image and wording I cut using my Cricut using the Just Because Cards cartridge.  Then I added glitter to the the apple to give it a bit more dimension.  I ran the card base through the trusty cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder (ha! I got some new CB folders so watch for a new dots folder.  I got two new different dot ones and I can’t wait to use them), and then some ribbon from my stash.

The second card I used an image I got from an image swap I did over at SavvynSassy. She looks more blue in this picture (man I take crappy pics) but she’s actually colored in shades of purple to match the paper.  I colored her with my copics and then used some scrap PP for the card.  I cut it out using my Spellbinders #4.  The ribbon believe it or not comes from someplace like the body shop.  If you look closely it has their symbol on it, but I thought that it went well with this card so I used it anyway.  LOL  You’ll also noticed that I did some stitching.  My very first time!!! I picked up this little sewing machine at a 2nd hand shop for $10 brand new!  It has tonz of thread, bobbins, buttons, needles etc in it.  It was a wicked deal!  I’m hoping to do more stitching in some of my cards.  We’ll see how it goes.

I hope you liked these.  As always comments are always welcome!

BTW.. I didn’t do any new cards today as DH and I took DS out for a day at the park and then we went on a cool Cemetery Tour in the city!  Great fun!  Lots of family time.  Tomorrow back to our regular scheduled programming.
