It’s getting spooky on the Make the Cards Challenge blog today! Our new theme is up, and you guessed it —HALLOWEEN is what we are going with!

I was just using some bits and pieces from my Halloween box for this one. I knew I wanted to use that NEVERMORE tag as my focal point. So I just started grabbing bits and bobs that I thought would layer well for work with the card. I really like how this turned out!

The DT has put together some really great projects for you to see on the blog. They know how to do spooky right!

PIO #148

So we are halfway through the month and a mid-month reminder for our Pile It On Challenge…… Pets!  Now this go round, it’s Pets and/or your favorite way to color an image.

So my card for this week is a cute lil thing.  I stamped this image when I was at a friend’s house, so I don’t know who it is by.  I colored it with my Copics, which is my usual go to coloring method and then added a bit of glossy accents and some pop dots to the hat.  The DP is from Simple Stories and I added just a few sequins and some Nuvo drops in clear to finish it off.

Yep, another card with my Sampler pack.  I love how this one turned out.  I took the clips from the Vicki Boutin All The Good Things collection and clipped off the end and just used the images as die cuts.  I had the sentiment in my box so I thought it worked well with this card.

I added just a bit of Nuevo dots in black to add a bit of dimension to this.

Love Birds

Inspired by a post I saw on a blog today (I’ll try and find the post for you later because it was a great idea for cards), I created this card for the challenge at Red Carpet Studios this week.

Inspired by The Wedding Singer (A movie I myself have not yet seen, hard to believe I know, considering how much of a movie whore I am, but I am not a fan of Adam Sandler), the challenge is to create a wedding or anniversary card.

Here’s mine…

I went for non-traditional colors on this one and I think it could really be used for either wedding or anniversary which is always great.

 

Everything on this card is from my stash.  The cardstock is Co-ordinations.  I used my Leafy Branch embossing folder and then I did some distressing.  The felt birds are from Maya Road and I have had them for ever.  I printed the sentiment on my computer and cut it out.  The tag and bling heart are from my stash as well.  I hope you like it.
