TMS #693

Hiya! I hope you have been playing along with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches. We have another favorite for you. We are working with Melissa’s favorite this go round. This was one of my fave’s for the year as well.

So back in October when we introduced this challenge, this was my card.

Here’s my new one!

I pulled out my case with all my Valentine’s papers and embellishments and so I will be doing a lot with them this month. For this one, I am using a lot of pieces and papers from the Love Me Do collection from My Mind’s Eye…..go back to 2009! That’s how long it’s been sitting in my stash! Quite a different color palette from the first time I played with this sketch right! There’s a little bit of heart washi in there too.

I hope you like it, come along and play with us and as an added bonus, try and find something that you have had in your stash for quite a while and breathe some new life into it ok! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you on the blog!

Full of Possibilities

Another Wednesday is upon us!  These weeks are just flying by!  Penny’s Paper Crafty has a brand new challenge week starting!  Quick and easy is our theme and this week’s sponsor is   FRED SHE SAID DESIGNS who is giving a lucky winner a $15 gift certificate to their store

as well as DELICIOUS DOODLES  who will be donating to a luck winner 4 individual images of their choice!

I am excited to be using a pre-colored image from Fred She Said!  Its called Hummingbird and Petunias and is just so pretty!

In keeping with the quick and easy theme, I just used some paper from my stash and worked some layers.  My only embellishments were some enamel dots and a word sentiment that was sent to me in a swap.  I added some gel pen faux stitching just to brighten up that black a little bit.

I hope you like it and please stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created for you!

ATC’s

I’ve got another couple ATC’s made for a challenge on Swap-bot.com.  The themes are Valentine’s Pink and Thank you.  I decided to create them with the new challenge at Use Your Stuff in mind.  Our challenge is to use Paint.  I don’t actually have a lot of paint but I did manage to find a few.

For the Thank you one, I used paint to color the bird and on the Valentine’s day one, I used some crackle paint on the heart as well as some white paint around the edges of the ATC which is a bit hard to see.  I hope you like them and don’t forget to play along this week on the blog.

Trick or Tweet

hey there everyone! happy Friday! It’s a new challenge at the Poodles Parlour for you this week.  We are being sponsored by Karen’s Doodles! We have a fun Halloween theme for you this week, so make sure you stop by the blog to see the great DT inspiration and to play in the challenge!

Here is mine this week!

We used Karen’s image (isn’t this cute) and the DP was sent in a swap.  I did a little border punching and after I cut out the focal image with my spellbinders I popped it with some spritz smooch and pop dots! I colored with my copics, added a bit of ribbon, some spooky spiders and a few brads for just a pop of color.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to play along!

Happy Bird-Day!

Hey there.  I am a little behind in my ACAD projects.  My little guy is teething hardcore with those big teeth and so I’ve been spending more time with him and less time crafting.  Sooo, I am a couple of days behind.  Slowly I hope to catch up.

Here is the ACAD for January 5th.  It was national bird day (I’m presuming in the USA) so the theme was of cours, Birds.  The diecut bird and house were sent to me the day before as part of a swap on Club CK and I knew I had to use it for this card.  I cut the cloud out using my Cricut (Creative Critters) which I then embossed and inked just to give it some texture.  The Happy Bird-day stamp is from Stampin up and I just used some SU bashful blue ink.  A nice simple card for anyone’s birthday.  The DP is actually a wedding paper but I loved the dots and had to use it for this card.  I hope you like it.

I’ve entered this card into the following challenges:

Stampin Bee’s: Use an old favorite and a new favorite: my new is the diecuts and my old is my Cuttlebug for the clouds

Stamping Vacation: No punches (mine are diecuts)

Rainbow Lady Challenge: All new to Me (new diecuts)

My Time to Craft: Up in the Air

Tis the Season

Hey there! Sorry I’m posting the AIF challenge late today.  I had to work last nite and by the time I was done and putting up the post on the challenge blog I was totally knackered!  On to this week’s challenge!

The theme this week is Holiday/Christmas!  I know a lot of you are still full tilt making holiday cards so this is the perfect challenge!  All projects need to be uploaded to the challenge blog by 11:59 EST on Wednesday December 15th to be entered to win this week’s images!  If you are uploading from an online gallery please use AIF060 so we can find your card.  As always, you don’t have to use one of our images to win, but we would love it if you did, and you also get double entries.  So make sure you check out the store for some great digi’s to choose from and some freebies as well

There’s also an added bonus this week…we have another new set in the store called Holiday Celebrations and you can win it free! All you have to do is enter this week’s challenge and post a little something on your blog about the new set with a link back to our store  http://www.aivault.com/store/

This is what the Holiday Celebrations set looks like

How cute is that!  So make sure you enter to win…there will be a random winner at the end of the challenge.

Now onto my card….The DT is working with the Holiday Bird digital set this week and mine is called Holiday Bird in Wreath.  A lovely little image

So this is mine:

I used to DP that was sent to me in a Christmas swap.  The image was colored with my Copics and then inked.  I added some stickles for sparkle.  The red c/s is embossed with the CB Christmas ornaments folder.  I added some glittery alphas and a snowflake and star button with just a bit of twine to finish it off.  I hope you enjoy the card.

AIF Challenge DAy

Hey everyone! It’s been a bit since I’ve posted.  Sorry about that.  We’ve had a sick household here and I’ve just not been up to posting.  Things are better now, so I’ll have a few things for you over the next few days.

Firstly, it’s a new challenge at AIF this week.  It’s all about punches and diecuts.  So we’d like to see either or both on your creations this week.  Remember you have until 11:59EST on Wednesday November 17th to upload your project using the linky code on the challenge blog.  Use code AIF056 if yr uploading from an online gallery.  As well, we’ve got a DT call going out! So if you are entering the challenge and would like to be considered for a DT postition for the new term of DEC-FEB just put DT by your entry!  The call will go out until November 25th and the new team will be announced on December 2nd thereabouts.

Here is my card for this week’s challenge…the stamp is called bird on a branch and can be found in the store or you can enter the challenge to win it for free!

I colored it with my copics and i pop dotted the one little bird to make it stand out.  I used a couple of my border punches and my spellbinders for the sentiment which is from Create with TLC.

Enjoy!

This card was entered into the following challenges:

Stamping Vacation: no images that start with S

Drunken Stampers #41 punch me: use a punch

Craft your Passion: double anything : i have a double punched border

Cardmaking with Cricut

I bought the book Cardmaking with Cricut by Tanya Fox and I love it.  I’d been wanting it for awhile now so I got it.  Although many of the cards are done with the WildCard Cartridge and the Expression, I believe that they can be tweaked to use the baby bug.  This one is from page 4.

Here is the original

And here is my lift of it.

I didn’t have any little pearls for the eyes so I think that I will pick some up and swap them out for the beads.  I don’t like them as much as I thought that I would.  I think they’re too big.

Looking forward to making some more. 🙂
