UYS #328 School is in

Monday Monday…here we are, the last day of the September long weekend here in Canada.  Kids go back to school tomorrow…..

Use Your Stuff has a new challenge this week – School is In!  Show us your favorite back to school projects!

Here’s mine…

I made this cute little card to put in my son’s lunchbag tomorrow.

dav

I just used some scraps from my desk for the DP.  The apple is from the free Simple Stories September Carpe Diam digital set.  I thought it was perfect for back to school!  I printed the sentiment on my computer from my fonts and then just added a few enamel dots.

I hope you play along with us and don’t forget to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

Entered into these challenges:

Cards in envy: Fruits of your Labour (cards with fruit)

Crafting from the Heart: Anything Goes

Pile It On: Think Big (use a big element – mine is the apple)

Addicted to CAS challenge: Apples

A Bit More Time to Craft: Anything Goes

Crafters Cafe: Three of Something (I have 3 enamel dots)

Scrap from Your Heart : Autumn Colors

Preschool

Hello, hello hello! Monday already?  Challenge day at Use Your Stuff, but you knew that right?? 🙂

Back to school is in full swing now and so that is this week’s Challenge!  We want to see some of your wonderful BTS creations.

I am happy to be getting back into layouts again.  I had forgotten how much I missed doing them.  My project this week is a layout using a Sketch from Creative Scrappers.  I have one of her AWESOME sketchbooks (Volume 1)  that I got a couple of years ago and is my go to, when I need to get started.  The sketches on her site are fabulous and such a variety!

Everything is from my stash…..The DP is from October Afternoon & Fancy Pants.  I also used a bunch of bits and bobs from my stash and the wooden stars I just inked up with some ink for color.  The crayon diecut is from Simply Charmed.  The lettering is thickers.  I hope you enjoy it and play along with us at UYS this week.

Best Teacher

Hello everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I’ve written.  I’ve had to deal with a family emergency for the last month but everything is working out now.

If you hope over to the Digital Delights blog then you will see we have a bunch of new inspiration pieces for you.  I have this great card for you.

With everyone getting back to school I thought that this would be a fun card to make to celebrate.  My little guy is starting preschool next week and I am so excited.

I used the Chillin’ Out Bookyworm and the Best Ever Teacher sentiment.

I used the Back to School paper from Fancy Pants.  All the little embellishments are from my stash.   Make sure you stop by the blog to check out the other great projects the DT has for you this week.

AiF challenge #93

Welcome to another new challenge day at AiF.  This week we are on our new site!  Very exciting.  Our challenges have changed  a bit, we are now offering a freebie to work with and going to a 2 week challenge period.  The design team is smaller this term as we work out the kinks on the new site and yet the creativity is huge.  Make sure you check out the DT inspiration this week.

Here is my card for this week’s challenge of Back to School/Hooray for Teacher

I really wanted to keep this card simple and use primary colors.  I did a little paper piecing (something I’ve not done in awhile) with some scraps (**sigh** yes I am still using scraps) and colored the image Ella Teacher with my Copics.   A little chalking for the sentiment which I printed out on the computer and for embellishments just a bit of ribbon, stickles and bling, all of which are from my stash.  I will admit, the only new thing I used on this card besides the image, was the new border punch I picked up.  I realized I had NOTHING in terms of a scallop punch so I thought I better have one!

Entered into the following challenges:

Art Impression Stamps: School is in!

CRAFT Challenge: Children

DivasbyDesign: Back to School

Clear it Out Challenge: Back to School

Ribbon Car0usel: Anything Goes (must have ribbon as well)

Crafty Boots: Anything Goes

ALSO, DON’T FORGET THAT IT IS THE SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT AT LOLLIPOP CRAFTS TODAY AND THERE IS STILL TIME TO GET IN ON THE DOUBLE TIME CHALLENGE.  STOP BY THE BLOG FOR ALL THE DETAILS

It’s an AiFactory Challenge

Hey everyone! AiFactory is starting the fall term with a new Design Team and a new Challenge.  In case you didn’t know, I am the new DT lead for AiFactory and am extremely chuffed about it. 🙂  So this week our theme is back to school!  We got to use these really cute images

So here is the card that I made

The DP was from a stack pack that I had bought eons ago, and the ribbon from a swap.  I cut the apple and the crayons out using my cricut A Child’s Year cartridge!  Basic colorings with the copics.  I hope you like it and I hope you will play along at AiFactory as well.  Just pop over to the challenge blog and upload your entry using the linky. You have until Wednesday September 15 12:00EST to get in to win this week’s images.  If you use some AiF images awesome but you don’t have to ..but make sure you check out the freebie section!  You also don’t want to miss checking out the awesome creations by our DT
