Your Smile

Happy Monday!

Today I have a card that was part of my Stampin Up stamper’s group.  We all got this card kit with a bunch of elements and had to pick 3 of them to create our card.  I chose the flower the sentiment and the DP.  I also used the teal border that was in the kit.

I don’t know which set this is from as it was a pre-stamped image for me. I just colored it with my copics and added some wink of Stella for a bit of shine. I added the black oval from my CC Design’s oval die cuts and some enamel dots from I believe Carta Bella!  I love the teal with the rose gold!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!  Stay Safe Everyone!

The Bike

Hello and Happy Sunday!  Oh my gosh!  We finally got some sunshine today after what seems like FOREVER of snow!  I cleaned my car, I made some salads to go with the BBQ chicken tonight and we brought out the deck furniture!  I was so happy to sit on my deck and enjoy the sunshine after being cooped up in the house for soooo long.  Our winter seemed to drag on forever!

I have a card today that I really like!  It reminds me of days like today…the weather is nice and everyone is out on their bike just trying to make the best of a bad situation.

I used some die cuts from the Jillybean Soup’s Spoonful of Soul collection and paired it with some left over hillside border dies from Lawn Fawn that I had from another project.

The cloud stencil is from Stampin Up and I had bought it awhile ago and hadn’t used it yet….so not surprised  **facepalm**  I found most of my stencils (38 of them) hadn’t been used yet!  I also added a few little heart stickers from Gossamer Blue’s Gramercy Road line (let’s blow the dust off to 2014 shall we! )

Also you may have noticed that the blog name has changed….this is to co-ordinate with the new instagram page that I started for my craft projects…it’s called if_the_scrap_fits  too.  Feel free to follow along on either platform.  I would love to have you 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you again soon!

Yappy Birthday

Hey all…

Just sharing a card I made for this weeks Tuesday Morning Challenge!

It’s a sketch which was really fun to use!  I love sketches.

I’ve been making a bunch of cards using a stamp set from Mama Elephant called Playful Pups!  Really cute and I have the matching dies!

I used some paper from Doodlebug as well as the little enamel dots.  The sentiment is actually on the inside of the card and says Yappy Birthday which is from the set.  I’m going to send this out to someone who asked for a birthday card for their little girl.

I colored it with copics and added a few white gel dots for some dimension.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to play along in the challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for Being You

Welcome to my blog amidst all this isolation.  Expect to see a lot more from me.   I’ve been actually scrapping a lot during this quarantine, however, it’s mostly cards to send out to anyone that wants one!  Everyone needs a pick me up sometimes and a little happy mail can make a big difference to people.  I’ve sent out almost 100 cards in the last 3 weeks and I’m happy to do it.

I’ve had a few people ask me to send cards to their family members or friends that are nurses..so I’ve made some like this one.  Goodness knows they deserve it and they have my utmost respect and gratitude for all they do!

I also made this card with the Festive Friday Challenge in mind. They have an Inspo List and you need to pick 3 items off the list for your project.

I chose the red, medical imagery and appreciation sentiment.   I really like how this turned out.  The DP is from my stash and Doodlebug, the enamel dots are PinkFresh.  The image is just from the internet and the sentiment strip is Jillybean Soup.

I challenge you to send a card to a friend or loved one this week.  With most of us under quarantine, it’s a thoughtful gesture and you never know how much it could brighten someone’s day.
