Love is in the Air Blog Hop!

Love is in the air and the Challenge Master Divas are celebrating by having a blog hop! The hop is going to run from Friday January 28th until Sunday January 30th. We have lots of prizes, fun and inspiration for you this weekend. If this is your first stop on the hop, PERFECT! you are on the right track.  I am starting you off.  If you have gotten here from someone else’s blog along the way, make sure you go from here so that you don’t miss anything!
All of the Divas are creating love inspired projects for you to enjoy.  Each one representing what love means to them.

We also each have a word for a secret phrase. You need to stop by each blog and collect the words (they are all jumbled so you will need to visit each one) and once you have unscrambled them, send the phrase to tealeaf@shaw.ca to be entered to win one of the two grand prizes.

We each have a small blog prize as well so you want to make sure that you stop by all the blogs and leave us some love, so that you have multiple chances to win!

Another way to win, is to create your own love inspired project and remember it can be anything you love (a person, a place, a thing, a hobby..whatever love means to you) and upload it to the Challenge Master’s Gallery in the forum. You will have until Sunday February 13th to enter your projects and then after careful deliberation a winner will be announced on our challenge blog! The grand prize winner will receive a great prize pack donated by ME! You don’t want to miss out on this so start creating! You can enter as many times as you wish as long as you create new projects each time.

So for my project for the hop, I decided to create some cute little love notecards.  They were fairly simple to put together and I thought that they would be fun to put into my husband’s lunch bag for the week leading up to Valentine’s Day.

The DP was from a swap that I did and I thought that they would be perfect for these.  I added some ribbon across the top (I used a few different ones).  I cut the circles out using my Cricut and then using a Stampin’ Up set I found in my cupboard, I added a little heart.  The little note sentiment is also from Stampin Up as well.

I also want to share with you a project I made last summer that totally fits in with this hop.  I had this old tin laying around and didn’t know what to do with it.  So I thought it would be fun to make some magnets!  I used all Kiki-Art product for this project! I really love her stuff and I’m proud to be on the DT!

I used modge podge to apply the Amor Corozon Mulitcolor (#010104) to the top of the tin.  I wanted the hearts of this paper to stand out, so I kept the embellies minimal and just used some red ribbon and one of the Kiki glittered chipboard hearts. (#010304).  The magnets themselves were the fun part.  I used a 1/2″ circle punch to cut out some random hearts in the varying colors.  I then applied them to the clear pebbles (which you can find in any craft store) using diamond glaze adhesive.I had to trim just a bit once they were dry and then I added some magnetic strip to the backs.  I picked up a roll of magnetic strip at my local dollar store. I thought it turned out really well!

Okay…to win my blog prize below, leave me a comment and tell me what love means to you!  I’ll draw a random winner on Monday Jan 31st.  I would also love it if you became a follower as well!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you enjoy the rest of the hop…and of course the word that you need from me is  WE

I’m also going to throw in a set of the notecards that I made for this hop!

Now head off to Sally’s blog and see what she has in store for you~!

  1. I am now a follower – love finding new talent in this papercrafting passion of mine! And thanks for the chance at some FABULOUS candy! WOW!

Love means never having to say you’re sorry. LOVE that movie!

  2. I’ll tell you one thing that I love. Visiting new friends and enjoying my morning coffee while I’m snooping around their blog! omgsh, Tammy, your Valentine project is wonderful! And, what a fun idea to give one to your hubs each day leading up to Valentine’s Day. bbwwahahaha I’m thinking that’s a great way to ‘pressure’ him into getting you a really GOOD Valentine! Love your blog, girl! Lots of fun stuff here! I’ll be back later on to check out some of your other projects! Hugs!

  3. Love means to be sharing common interests, and never judging. That is what friends do. That’s what our significant others do. I’m honoured to call you one of my close friends Tam, thank you for being such a great friend! xoxo

  4. What a great idea to put little love notes in your husbands lunch!
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

  5. To me, love is giving of yourself to someone without expecting anything in return. It may mean sharing in interests that you normally wouldn’t spend time upon, or going places that aren’t your “cup of tea”.

  6. For me, Love is, loving someone with all your heart and unconditionally, love is going through all the good and bad times together and being there for each other.

  7. Love is not about those moments, it not rommance, it not about grand gestures or magical moment (or Hollywood moments), it the little things, cuddles on the couch, cooking for your love one after a hard day, it seeing each other after a bad day and knowing when you look into there eyes that everything will be ok.

  8. Love your noteccards and what a cute idea to give to hubby each day….
What love means to me is enjoying my grand children and getting that special hug and I love you Nanny from them…..

  9. Fabulous set of note cards Tammy! And your magnets are so cool! Darling ideas shared! And love to me is complete joy and happiness shared by two people. I feel so blessed to have so many people in my life that I love!

  10. Hi Tammy…love your little love note cards…such a sweet thing to do for hubby!!
More than anything in this world, I love my boys.Would do anything, go anywhere for them.No matter what they do, I will always love them .

  11. Love to me is knowing I have someone to look out for and care for me even when I push his buttons!!! I love my hubby so much. I also love this idea of sending a little love note in his lunch the week leading up to “V” Day. thanks so much for the idea. I will be following too.

  12. Oh Tammy!!
    What a gorgeous idea!!
    Hmmmm! Love is when my hubby rubs my feet!!! LOL {doesn’t do it very often!!!}
Seriously, love is my hubby laughing with me when I do something really really really stupid and I forget about the embarrassment.
Also, when I get support and the push to do things that I would never normally do with new things.
I’ve not long learnt how to knee board.

Loooooove the cards. If I did that with my hubby he’d tell me to stop being mushy and embarrassing him in front of his work mates!

  13. Love is never having to mow the lawn.

Now seriously…for for me love sitting together on the sofa holding hands but not needing ot say a word to each other.

Or alternatively having your grandson in your arms and him pulling you in for a big cuddle and kiss 🙂 This melts my heart every time.

Love the notelets, such a sweet and loving idea.

    Lynn

  14. Really nice projects. Thanks for sharing them. Love is hubby using the new snowblower, so I don’t have to shovel anymore.

  15. Those cards are cute, and the magnets would look great holding artwork on a fridge! 🙂

Love is … knowing that without that person, life would never be complete.

  16. Love is looking at the person and admiring their faults, appreciating their strengths and finding comfort in the fact that together you bring out the best in each other while still retaining the person you are individually.
