Happy St. Patrick’s Day

It’s all about the green this week at Creative Corner Challenges.  It’s my month to host and with St. Patrick’s Day coming up my challenge this week is Go Green.  You have to have something green on your project.  An easy challenge to be sure, so I hope many people sign up.  I’m even offering a little prize this week.

Here’s my card for this week’s challenge.  green

Surprisingly, with St. Pat’s being one of my favorite holidays (purely for the green factor) I don’t have a lot of St. Pat’s stuff.  I had green paper but nothing to go with it.  I printed off this image from Bugaboo Stamps as it was offered as a freebie although now I think it is for purchase in the store, thank goodness and the shamrock i cut out using my Cricut.  This is a really simple and flat card because it’s doing double duty.  Not only is it for this challenge but I need to mail it out for a St. Patrick’s day swap on Swap-bot.com.  The paper was all from my stash and I colored the image with my copics.  I hope you enjoy it and please stop by the blog and play with us this week.

Wonder

Have I mentioned how much I hate doing income tax???Argh! It’s driving me crazy.

Anyway, Red Carpet Studios has a new challenge on their blog that I have been meaning to get to and so here’s a layout I created. The challenge is based on the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and so the challenge is to use one or more buttons on your project.  Surprisingly, I have not seen this movie yet…should probably check it out on Netflix.

Here is a layout using my favorite subject of course.  Taken a year or so ago, just playing in the backyard, looking at everything, ever inquisitive.

I hope you like it.  Everything is from my stash.  I cannot remember the name of the DP set I used for this one.  I just remember it had the name garden in the title.  That’s how long it has been in my stash. LOL

Happy Friday! So happy it’s the weekend, even if I don’t really have anything planned.

Just sharing with you our new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges this week.  Our last one for February hosted by Tina.  Next month I will be hosting the challenges and offering some great weekly prizes so make sure you check in each week.

A super easy challenge this week, we just want to see some designer paper on your project.  It can be old, new, one or two.  Head over to the blog to link up and to see what the DT has for you this week.

Here is mine for you this week, a cute little baby card.

DP

Since I am on a buying freeze right now, everything on this card is from my stash.  The paper is sooo old.  It is from Hot off The Press’s 8×8 baby kit.  The image was from a swap I did ages ago and the sentiment sticker I’ve had for ages.  It was fun to make a 5×5 card this time instead of my usual 4.25×5.5.  I hope you like it.

Gingerbread Christmas

Hi everyone! I am late in getting this post up.  My days are just blending together as I prepare for the holidays.

We have some new inspiration pieces for you on the Digital Delights blog today.  Lots of wonderful projects for you to enjoy.  My card for you today is highlighting Gingerbread Slippy who is just the cutest character ever!!!

gingerbreadslippy

I am using the pre-colored image but he does come in black and white as well.  He is paired with the Gingerbread  Hugs Sentiment as well.  The DP is from my stash so I’m not sure who it is by and then I added some ribbon I received in a swap.  I didn’t want to make this too complicated because I didn’t want to distract from the image.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to swing by the blog and see what the other designers have for you today!  This is our last post until the New Year so that the team can spend time with their families over the holidays.

Merry Christmas from my house to yours!

Autumn Blessings

Happy Thursday everyone!  I have a new card for you for Delightful Thursdays!   Make sure you head over to the Digital Delights blog to check out what the DT has for you today.  Delightful challenges is also having a Giving Thanks challenge this weeks so don’t forget to enter as well.

I used one of Wendy’s colored images for you this week.  It’s the Fall House image which I thought was really pretty.  I then paired it with the fall sentiments.

With the image I used some paper from Basic Grey.  I inked it with some Tim Holtz Ranger Ink in spiced marmalade.  I used a border punch as well as a Sizzix flourish die.  The sentiment is cut out with a Stampin up Punch.  I also added some ribbon and bling from my stash as well.  The big leaf is from Walmart.

I hope you like today’s card.

Halloween Treats!

Hi there!

It’s a new challenge day at Lollipop Crafts!  My team is hosting the new challenge and we are highlighting Halloween treats–projects that are not cards…you should check out the blog because the team have some great projects to share this week.

So my son is in preschool this year for the first time and I am so excited because I get to make all kinds of fun things for his class.  Case in point are these cute little sour cream boxes that I learned about at last month’s Stampin Up workshop.  They are ubereasy to make and it took me about 20 mins to do all 12 for his class.  I just used some random papers from my halloween stash and then a bit of cord and whatever halloween stamps I had on hand.  Inside each container is a Tootsie Roll (the fun thick ones for Halloween :) )

I hope you like them and please stop by our blog and join in the challenge this week.

Get Well Soon

Hello again! Two posts in one day…wow! Going from not so busy to busier than a bee.  We have a new challenge over at Penny’s Paper Crafty this week which is being sponsored by multiple sponsors, one of which I am highlighting this week…Dustin Pike.

I am sure that you’ve seen these adorable dragons all over blogland.

I decided to make a get well soon card as I’ve not done one in awhile and you just never know when one comes in handy (like for your son’s preschool teacher who’s home sick :) )

As you can see, I used the Basic Grey offbeat papers again.  I thought they were kinda upbeat and cheery for a get well card.  I paired the image with just a great stamp from Michael’s that I got, again in the Spiced Marmalade ink.  I added some ribbon and a border punch as well as a little heart button from my stash.

I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget to enter our buttons and/or ribbon challenge at Penny’s today for your chance to win one of several great prizes!

Merry Christmas

Hello All!  Back to the creative grind again after a successful weekend at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival.  I got a lot accomplished in terms of new Christmas Cards for my upcoming craft fairs, had a lot of fun with my friends Kathy & Lisa and the swag bag was amazing.  I will post that a bit later.

It’s a new challenge at Use it Tuesday this week. Our theme is all about Orange…we would like you to create a project using orange in it.  It could be halloween, thanksgiving, or anything else.  In my case, it is Christmas! :)

I challenged myself to make a Christmas card with the unconventional color of Orange ..so here we go.  All the DP is from my stash.  I am thinking I have some BG Jovial in there from a couple of years ago. That tells you how long I hold onto all my paper…LOL  The image is from my image bucket and is Stampin up.  The snowflakes were originally plain chipboard and then I covered them with glitter and added bling.  The lacy ribbon and twine are from my stash as well.  I hope you enjoy it and I hope you will stop by the blog and check out all the really great projects we have for you this week.  Don’t forget to enter the challenge and be sure to let us know which stashy or hoarded items you used for your project!

An Autumn Thank you -UIT Challenge #41

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It was Thanksgiving over here in Canada on Monday so it was a busy weekend for my family as I had 2 dinners to attend as well as my youngest brother’s wedding on Saturday.  This whole weekend seems like a big party! LOL

For many of us, autumn is well and truly here.  So, we have a great challenge for you at Use it Tuesday this week.  We are falling into fall and would love to see your Fall Creations!  It can be anything that fall inspires you with, the rich colors, the celebrations, the activities….all we ask is that you use your hoarded supplies to create with and let us know what they are when you post.

Here is my card for you today.

I’m sure you recognize the paper from another card I did. This MME paper is great for fall projects, lots of rich colors.  I used some more of the American Crafts pumpkin ribbon.  The leaves were cut out using my little leaf punches and then the pumpkins and gate were from a die cut swap I did ages ago.  The sentiment is from a Stampin up set that has a matching punch.  I’ve used the punch before but not the stamp set so really loving paring the two together.

I just love the autumn feel of this card! :)

Please stop by the blog to see the rest of the inspiration the girls have for you this week and to enter our challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!
