Owl Card

Yay! It’s Friday!  That doesn’t really mean that much to me, since I work weekends and shift work so I don’t have a weekend in the traditional sense, but hey! I’m excited for you if that’s how you roll :)

It’s a brand new challenge for you at Creative Corner Challenges this week.  Let’s think outside the box and come up with some unusually shaped cards..anything but square or the traditional rectangle.  The DT has some great inspiration for you on the blog this week.

Here’s mine!

002

I decided to break out my Wild Card Cartridge and one of my favorite ones on it is the Owl.  So I cut it out usual some Basic Grey Nook and Pantry paper.  I’ve had it forever in my stash!  I then added just some stickles for definition because that paper is pretty loud…LOL

It’s just a simple card because I am sending it out in the mail for an RAK so it can’t have a lot of embellishments on it.  I hope you like it.

Stay tuned because we’ve got some changes coming up in May on the blog.  Fun Fun Changes. :)

Rainbows

Happy Friday everyone! The ending of another week..woohooo!!  We have a new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges.  It’s all about Rainbows.  You can have an actual rainbow, rainbow colors or however you wish to interpret it as long as we can see how the rainbow is represented in your project.

Here’s the fun card I made this week.

rainbow1

I inked teh background just using some Tim Holtz  Faded Denim distress ink and a cloud die cut.  The rainbow is from the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge.  The sentiment is MFT.

Make you stop by the blog and check out the other DT inspiration for you this week and to join in our challenge.

LC: Sentimentally Yours

Good morning everyone! Welcome to another Monday and a new challenge on the Lollipop blog...this week my team is hosting the challenge and our challenge to you is to create a card/project with a sentiment as the focus.

We are being sponsored this week by The Stamping Boutique.  On Thursday Alanna and her team will have all the info on our new sponsor.

Here is my project for you this week…

You’ll have to forgive my poor butterfly, I didn’t notice until the last minute that her poor wing was a bit clipped!

I cut the shape out using my nestiblities.  I don’t usually do circle cards but had fun with this one.  The DP is from Basic Grey and were some scraps I had left over from another project that I did.  It’s the Green at Heart line.  I used my Stamping cartridge to cut out the butterfly and my i-rock to add the little gems.  The sentiment itself came from an old sheet of DP from Around the Block that I found in my paper drawer when I was cleaning it out over the weekend.  Amazing what you find when you clean! Yikes!  I hope you like my card for you and be sure to a)enter our challenge on the blog this week and b) stop by the other DT blogs and leave the girls some love!

Believe in Miracles

Hey everyone! Today’s new challenge at Lollipop Crafts is an anything goes one.  It’s a for fun challenge as we don’t have a sponsor this week but we would love to see what you are creating right now.

Here is an altered coaster that I made.

I inked the coaster first and then stamped some snowflakes on it.  I added the sentiment card which I believe is from Webster’s Pages.  The flower is just from Walmart.  I’m not sure where the green snowflake piece is from and the 25 I cut out using my Don Juan cartridge and inked it with some chalkboard ink from Tatttered Angels.  A few little pearls and voila!  I hope you enjoy it!  Don’t forget to stop by the blog and see some more of the DT inspiration.

Entered into the following challenges:
Hooked on Craft Challenges: Punches/Diecuts

Make My Monday: Foliage/Flowers/Snowflakes

One Stitch at a Time: Anything Goes

Crafty Emma: Snowflakes

Squiggle Stamps: Anything but a Card

Happy Holidays

Happy Monday! Ahh the start to another week.  I’m living for Friday right now as I am going to the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival here in Calgary and CANNOT wait! It’s going to be awesome! I’m also taking a photography course from the awesome Allison Orthner!  It is going to be a blast! If you haven’t already got a ticket I believe there are still some available for the basic crop and you can also buy tix for the marketplace which I know is going to be phenomenal!

Anway..on to this week’s new challenge from Lollipop Crafts.  A fun one to be sure–anything but a card…time to work on those layouts, altered items, 3D items, tags and whatever else you can think of.

I am currently hard at work doing Christmas cards/tags for my upcoming craft fair so I have a tag to share with you this week.

Made from some scraps I have, I used the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge for the ornament.  I added some chunky glitter as well as some felt snowflakes and a few red pearls for a pop of color.  I really like this one and think I’ll make more of him..goodness knows I have tonz to make.

Make sure you stop by our blog and play to win from our great sponsor Robyn’s Fetish this week!

Color Me Green

Good day everyone!  It’s Monday so a new Lollipop Crafts challenge for you this week.  I am hosting and my theme this week is Monochromatic! I love the look of varying shades of the same color.  Mine of course is green. It has to be green.

This week we are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Designs.

Really cute images! We’ll have more on them on Thursday for our Sponsor Spotlight.

Here is my card this week.

I colored the image using my copics.  The DP is just some scraps that I had.  I used a bit of a border punch, a flower (to which I added some glitter), a button, some ribbon (Savvy n Sassy) and a ticket that was originally beige and I just inked it green.   I cut the leaf out using my cricut. A little paper piercing and distressing to add some texture and voila!  I hope you  like it

Don’t forget to head over to the blog and enter for your chance to win.  I look forward to seeing what you create.

Best Friends

Good morning! It’s another great challenge over at The Crazy Challenge this week. It’s all about Friendship…your pet friends, your best friend, you boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever friend you would like to celebrate, we would like to see it. You can check out all the details on the blog here.

Here is my card for this week.

Using a couple of images from our sponsor Digi Doodle Shop, I put together two little girls that are ‘best buds’.  Just like me and my friend Kathy who is going to get this card. :)

I used my copics to color the image and then cut out the butterflies using my Stamping cartridge on my cricut.  The DP was sent to me in a swap and I thought it was rather girly and pretty.  The bling is from my stash and the rick rack is from my fave supplier SavvynSassy.  I am loving the tiny alphas these days! hope you enjoy it.~!

Go Green!

That’s this week’s theme at Sarah Hurley….the design team has put together some fabulous projects using Sarah’s products which you can of course find here.

You also have a few days left to get in on the embossing challenge to win some of those fabulous embossing folders from Handy Hippo (they are sweet!).  You can find that challenge here.

This is the card I have for you this week…I just love these green digital papers that Sarah has..they were perfect for this little ladybug, which I cut out using my Create a Critter cartridge .

I kept it really simple.  All the paper is from Sarah and the flowers, ribbon, button, bling and hemp are from my stash.  The sentiment is from an old stamp set that I picked up eaons ago and just love using…

Enjoy!

Shaping up at the Crazy Challenge

It’s a new challenge over at CCH and this week it’s all about the shaped cards!  We would like to see some fun and unique shapes, anything that isn’t your typical square/rectangle traditional.  Our sponsor this week is the Digi Doodle Shop and they have some fabulous images, some of which we got to play with.  Here’s my card for this week

The shape was cut out using one of my cricut cartridges ( A Child’s Year I believe, very versatile).  I punched the butterflies using one of my cuttlebug dies and added a few bits of bling to liven them up.  The image was colored with my copics and the DP was just from my stash.  I have been introduced to flocking! I picked some up on sale at my LSS and love it, so the bunny’s ears and her eggs are flock! Way cool!  I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the challenge blog and enter this week’s challenge!
