That unfortunately does not seem to be something that we are going to have here in Calgary today. It’s still a bit cloudy and cool today. The last vestiges of winter are still lingering around. I wish they would just go already.
Today’s challenge at Use it Tuesday is All About Spring. It’s time to break out the flowers, the bright colors, the sunshine, all the good stuff. As always you need to use up some of your stash so make sure you let us know in your post what you used.
I finally have used up all of the Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper so here is my final project. The stamp set is one from my stash that I don’t use enough by My Favorite Things. It comes with its own sentiment as well. I just used my spellbinders and inked it up with some Tim Holtz ink. The bling is from my stash as well. I hope you like it.
Please stop by the blog to enter this week’s challenge and to see all the rest of the great DT projects we have for you this week.

It’s Friday! Oh thank heaven! It has been what seems like a long week for me. I’ve not been able to get into my craft space much this week with work being so busy.
I do however, have a new card for you for our challenge this week at Creative Corner Challenges. My theme this week is layers. The more the better, but at least 2 layers are needed to qualify for this week’s mystery prize. I’m not announcing it until I pick the winner next week but it’s a good one.
Here’s my fun card for you this week. Again I was using up my scraps from my Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper. I am happy to announce that I have one more project to show you next week and then it is finally finished! Yay! That only took me 4 years to go through! I thought I was doing so well finishing up a paper pack finally and then I find out today that I won 4 paper packs by Basic Grey…**sigh** I can’t win for losing but I’m not really complaining
The image was in my image bucket so it came from a swap ages ago. I just colored it with my copics. As I said the DP was in my stash and it is the scraps of the scraps of the Crate Paper Lil Sprout collection. The sentiment is an old one from my stash. It was fun to do a square card for a change. I actually made this one for a swap on Swap-bot as well which has a square card theme. I hope you like it. Don’t forget to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the DT inspiration pics for you this week and enter to win my mystery prize.

My second week sponsoring the Creative Corner Challenge this week. Our challenge is to use fasteners…buttons, eyelets, brads etc.
Lately I have been trying to use up my Little Sprout kit that I bought way back in 2009. So expect to see a bunch of cards/layouts in the coming weeks using it up. I finally got through it all. :0 This card is actually using scraps of scraps..right down to the very end.
I used a sketch from a sketch challenge at CanadianScrapSwap Chat this week. Lots of fun banners and flags.
I used everything from my stash this week. Buttons, bling, ribbon and paper
Make sure you stop by the blog this week to enter the challenge for a chance to win the prize I have up for grabs today.

Hello everyone! It’s another Monday challenge at Lollipop Crafts this week. It’s our last challenge of the month so that means it’s a just for fun anything goes challenge. Make sure you stop by the blog to see what the rest of the design team has created for you and to link up your challenge project.
I have another layout for you. In keeping with the Little Sprout Collection from Crate Paper I did another cute layout of Mr. Riley.
Thanks for stopping by and I love to get your comments.
So last week I had posted a layout I did for a kit of the month challenge on CanadianScrapSwapChat. That was part one. Part two was to create another project using the same kit..it could be card, altered project, tag etc. I really like the die cuts in this pack so I made a cute little baby tag with it.
It’s a bit fuzzy so I hope you’ll forgive that. I basically just used up some of the scraps and then added the diecuts and popped them up. Nothing fancy here. Just a little ribbon to match. Pretty clean and simple I think. I hope you like it. I have a friend who’s newly pregnant and so I can’t wait to put this on her present for her shower! I hope she likes it too!
I’ve entered into the following challenges:
A.muse studio: die cuts
Crafting When We Can: Animals
CASual Fridays Challenge: Hello Baby
Crafty Ann’s Challenge Blog: Anything Goes
Now..as I had mentioned in my previous post, I’ve cracked open the Crate Paper Little Sprout set and I have been going to town creating some layouts of Riley. So since this week’s challenge is Anything Goes at Lollipop Crafts this week, I decided to create a layout for my DT inspiration piece.
This is a picture of Riley at about 3 months old spending his first Thanksgiving in Kamloops with Grandma and Grandpa Schlinker. Grandpa decided to get silly with Riley and well..this is the result.
I hope you like it and make sure you stop by the Lollipop blog this week to see some more great inspiration from the DT and enter this week’s challenge. Now this week’s challenge is a non-sponsored one however, for those of my followers and friends who enter into the challenge and then come back here and let me know (so I can comment on your project I will enter you into a draw to win some fun scrappy goodies from me!
Happy Scrappin’ everyone!
So on the CanadianScrapSwapChat board, Rachel has started a new monthly challenge. It’s called the Use Your Stash Kit Challenge. The object is to make a kit using product you already have on hand and use it to create a variety of different projects. So this is my part #1 the Layout!
I decided to crack open my Crate Paper Little Sprout set. I have had this before Riley was born and he’s almost 3 now. It was always my intention to use it to make layouts for his pictures I’ve just never gotten around to it…so this was the perfect time. This was our sketch
And here is the layout I created from the kit that I put together
These are pics that were taken of Riley on his first trip to Cuba. He is about 6 months old here. I can’t help it..I think I have the cutest kid!. I hope you enjoy this and if you want to, come join us on CanadianScrapSwapChat. We are always looking for new members (free to sign up). We have lots of challenges and prizes and lots of fun scrappy chat. The board is open to Canadian residents only. Let me know if you are interested and I’ll make sure you get in quickly
