If Friends Were Flowers

I am really late posting this.  As I mentioned before I’ve been pretty busy with work and a sick family to deal with.

Our challenge at Creative Corner Challenges is to create a project with the theme “things with wings”

We are being sponsored this whole month by Bugaboo Stamps who is one of my personal favorites!

Just for you

It’s Friday! Oh thank heaven! It has been what seems like a long week for me.  I’ve not been able to get into my craft space much this week with work being so busy.

I do however, have a new card for you for our challenge this week at Creative Corner Challenges.  My theme this week is layers.  The more the better, but at least 2 layers are needed to qualify for this week’s mystery prize.  I’m not announcing it until I pick the winner next week but it’s a good one.

Here’s my fun card for you this week.  Again I was using up my scraps from my Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper.  I am happy to announce that I have one more project to show you next week and then it is finally finished! Yay! That only took me 4 years to go through! I thought I was doing so well finishing up a paper pack finally and then I find out today that I won 4 paper packs by Basic Grey…**sigh** I can’t win for losing but I’m not really complaining :)

Ok..card..

00242

The image was in my image bucket so it came from a swap ages ago.  I just colored it with my copics.  As I said the DP was in my stash and it is the scraps of the scraps of the Crate Paper Lil Sprout collection.  The sentiment is an old one from my stash.  It was fun to do a square card for a change.  I actually made this one for a swap on Swap-bot as well which has a square card theme.  I hope you like it.  Don’t forget to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the DT inspiration pics for you this week and enter to win my mystery prize.

Sweet!

Happy Halloween to you all!  I hope you have lots of fun in whatever endeavours you plan on to celebrate today.  We are taking our little guy out tonight trick or treating.  He is very excited! Our little pirate received a pardon from the crown and is now a muskateer….translation…it’s too cold out tonight for him to just wear his pirate costume so we had to improvise with something he could wear over his coat :)

Today is a new challenge on the Penny’s papercrafty blog…it’s all about BIRTHDAYS!  Show us your birthday creations.

We have two wonderful sponsors for this challenge. That’s right, one lucky random person will win 3 digi images from My Heart Pieces and one lucky random person will win $10 gift certificate from Dustin Pike (aka Doodle Dragon Studios).

I am highlighting an image from My Heart Piece’s called Ice Cream Cutie

I used some papers from the Basic Grey Koshi line.  I am almost out of this one….:(  The image was colored with my copics.  I used a fun border punch I’ve not used in awhile and the bling is from my stash.  The ribbon is Stampin Up as is the Sweet Sentiment.  I hope you enjoy it.

Entered into these challenges:

Baby Boy: A Digital Delights creation

Oh boy! I’m late in getting this up. So sorry everyone. It’s Thursday so the Digital Delights DT has some new inspiration for you this week.

I have a friend who just had a new baby boy. The baby shower is next month so I need a card. I have this little cutie for you today.

The digital image is from the LuvvyBaby set.

It has a couple of different images and sentiments to choose from. You can find it in the store here!

You can also get this little guy as singles and in colored images!

For my card I used the Hot off the Press 8×8 baby papers.I recently found these papers in a drawer so I’ve been using them up. They were in a bag with some HOTP birthday papers as well. I added just a few pearls and then added a bit of texture with a border punch and a little ribbon. The image is colored with my copics and then cut out with spellbinders. I think I am going to make some more of these in a variety of pink, blue and gender neutral. It’s such a cute image.

Thanks for stopping by today and you just have to check out the blog to see all the great projects the other ladies have for you this week! AMAZING!

Entered into the following challenges:

Little Red Wagon: dog days of summer (use an animal on your project)

Waste Not Wednesday: always use your forgotten stuff (the 8×8 papers)

Ready Teady Go-anything goes (with a teddy or bear)

Crafty Catz: Anything Goes

Make it Monday: always anything goes

Digital Delights August Release

If you are looking for the LC blog hop please click here.

Yay!  It’s here the new August Release for Digital Delights!  It is also my first post and creation as a member of their DT so I am just really excited!  So this month Wendy has an awesome birthday collection! Oh does this have a lot of fun images….Josh, Josie and Maycee are all here for the fun.  I am only showing you what I was lucky to work with for the release but you absolutely have to stop by the blog and check out what everyone else has for you….oh there are a lot of fun projects!

So my image for you this month is Pressie Josh.  He’s so excited! He just cannot wait to open his present…and I paired it up with the new Birthday Sentiments…

In my ever ongoing quest to use up my stash, I came across a birthday kit that I had bought ages ago from Hot off The Press…it has a lot of fun papers and art to go with it.  I colored him with my copics and did a little paper piercing around the edges.  I added some doodlebug brads, american craft ribbon and basic grey bling.

I really hope that you like my first endeavor with DD and please stop by the blog and see the rest of the release which you can find in the store here…you won’t be disappointed and don’t forget to stop off at the other blogs and leave the girls some love, for many of, this marks our first time out with DD! Thanks for stopping by

Lollipop Crafts 2 Year Blogaversary Hop!!

Lollipop Crafts is celebrating 2 years of challenge blogging!!!  Wow, doesn’t feel like it’s been 2 years, but it really has been according to the calendar!  Time surely flies by when you’re having fun!!  We have a special treat for you in honor of our marking.  A BLOG HOP!!!   yep, filled with lots of surprises!  The blog hop runs from today August 1st until August 4th.  So if you don’t have time to check out everyone today, you can come back tomorrow and finish the hop.

If you hopped onto my blog by chance, PLEASE head back to Lollipop Crafts blog and begin your celebrating there.  There’s so much going on you don’t want to miss out on fun and surprises.   You should have reached my blog from Juelmarie’s  blog.

In addition to our celebration and blog hopping fun, we have a SPECIAL challenge just for this celebration too.  Hurry though, this challenge ends on the 4th at Midnight PST as well.  The challenge is CELEBRATION!!  Any celebration that is, birthday, anniversary, new baby, wedding and more!  Link up your celebration creations to InLinkz on the LC blog.

Just so you know, there are hidden prizes around the DT blogs, so don’t miss out on visiting everyone and there are 2 prizes on the LC blog – one for a random hopper who leaves a comment on the LC blog and one for participating in the challenge.

As well, just for this hop we have a fabulous guest designer joining us!  It’s Barbara from Forgotten Scraps!  You are going to meet her at the end of the hop!

So I’ve got a great couple of cards for you for this Celebration!  I am not going to tell you who my sponsor is for it!  I am hoping that you can guess by looking at the image!

Leave me a comment telling me who you think my sponsor is, and after the blog hop I will announce and from all the correct guesses, will randomly pick a name to receive a small batch of goodies from me! :)   I am going to be away until the 13th tending to some important family matters but I will try to post my winner before then and the prize will be mailed out when I get back.

This card represented just a personal celebration! I love shopping and anytime I can have the chance to do so, works for me.  If I have to pick an obscure celebration like National Happiness Happens month (people actually celebrate this) I am all for it. Any excuse to hit the mall!

I created this one with some Basic Grey papers I had used for another project.  The image is colored with copics and my sew easy ink stitcher added a bit of faux stitching.  The sentiment is just printed out from my computer.  Ribbon and bling are from my stash.

and card #2

This one is just a fun birthday card.  Who doesn’t love to shop for new stuff with all the gift cards and cash for their birthday! I was working on another project and came across this kit that I had of birthday papers from Hot off the Press.  I had totally forgotten about them.  I am loving the colors so I have started to use them over again.  Again the image is colored with my copics and I have added some big brads, bling and twine from my stash.  The kit came with some word art so I thought it would be fun to add that as well.

Thanks for stopping by! and now it is time for you to hop along.  Your next stop is Mimi who has another great sponsor for you to check out!
When you’re done with the hop, make sure to stop by the LC blog again and say so.  Have Fun!!!
