An announcement!

Don’t forget about my World Cardmaking Day post...I have a giveaway

I am very happy to be a part of the Glitter Fairies Design Team!  Thanks to Becky and I am looking forward to creating some great projects!  My first DT assignment is a sketch one!

So here is our sketch…

and these are the two cards that I made

One for Halloween

This was made using the Halloween card kit that I received from my partner in a swap on the Club CK forum! She sent me tonz of stuff, which is great because I don’t have that much! LOL  I decided to water color the image this time and then I added a bunch of stickles for flair~!  Everything except the chipboard hat sticker came from the kit that Christy sent me.

And one for Christmas

Another simple card…the reindeer is from the Doodlecharms cricut cartridge.  The DP is scrap and the ribbon and bling are from my stash.  I decided to emboss the sentiment to make it stand out a bit more against the DP..again as I am making these for a craft fair, they can’t be too heavy in embellishments…

1+2+3 Crazy Style

So on our blog at the Crazy Challenge this week, it’s a 1, 2, 3 recipe challenge and the crazy part is, you can pick your own 1,2,3! Our sponsor this week, is Sassy Studios!
For my card, I picked 1 image, 2 DP’s and 3 embellishments. I have stickles, brads and lace. Make sure you check out the blog to enter and to check out the other DT inspiration for you this week.

As you can see, I’ve used again the left overs from the Prima paper from my circle journal.  I added some lace that I inked to match the colors for my card.  I added just a few stickles to give her crown some shine and a few brads in the corner.  It’s been awhile since I used brads on anything!  Colored with Copics and then chalked around.  A simple card that I can use for pretty much anything.  I like that.

A blog hop and a new challenge

It’s lots of fun over at AIF this week.  Not only are we doing a new challenge of Boys will be Boys, so bring out your best boy creations, but we are also helping to sponsor the Blogaversary of The CRAFT challenge with Jo and her amazing team.

Please make sure you stop by both blogs, the AIF one to get in our our great challenge this week, (Have you seen the DT creations this week..AMAZING!) and also the craft challenge to get in on their blogaversary blog hop & challenge as well! Lots of great prizes to be won!

A Fairy Hello

Hello! I hope that you moms out there had a lovely Mother’s Day yesterday.  There is nothing I am more proud of than being a mom to my little Riley.  I can’t believe he’ll be 2 in July!  Time does fly.

Today is a new challenge on the Lollipop Crafts blog.  We are being sponsored by Soft Pencil this week

and here is the link to their site and you can check out all the great digital images & all that Elizabeth has to offer.  Our challenge this week is a fancy folds one…so we’d like to see creations with more than one fold on them.  Here is mine for this week.

The image is from SoftPencil’s Tinytwinies which the DT got to play with.  So cute. This is the Charming Flowers image. How adorable is this!  I colored her using my Copics. I used some Sarah Hurley digital papers for this card. She has some great stuff so make sure you check the link! The main butterfly was cut using a scrap piece from the card and then the other accent butterflies I cut out using some scrap cardstock and then I doused them with versamark and applied some clear embossing powder to them to give them some shine and some texture.  I also added a little bit of bling to them.  The ribbon was part of a swap on Swap-bot that I received.  The sentiment is using my tiny type letters.  I haven’t used these for so long I practically had to blow the dust off. I also added some stickles to her wings and the fairy dust that she sprinkled.

I hope you like the card and I hope you’ll join in on our challenge this week. Sorry my picture is so dark, it’s been rainy here the last few days (which I guess is better than snowy right??)

This card is entered into the following challenges:

You also have a few days left to get in on the embossing challenge to win some of those fabulous embossing folders from Handy Hippo (they are sweet!).  You can find that challenge here.

This is the card I have for you this week…I just love these green digital papers that Sarah has..they were perfect for this little ladybug, which I cut out using my Create a Critter cartridge .

I kept it really simple.  All the paper is from Sarah and the flowers, ribbon, button, bling and hemp are from my stash.  The sentiment is from an old stamp set that I picked up eaons ago and just love using…

Enjoy!

Card Swaps, St. Paddy’s & Ugly

Okay..so on the Anything Goes group on Paper Craft Planet, I signed up for a St. Patrick’s day swap and an Ugly Swap (for those of you not familiar, an Ugly swap is when you send your partner the ugliest paper & embellies you can find, they don’t have to match and the other person has to make a card from them).  One of my fave swaps!  So without further adieu..here is the kit that I got for my ugly swap

And here is the card that I made.  Luckily my pal gave me a few pieces to choose from so I got to pick the lesser of the evils

And now for the St. Paddy’s day ones

My kit from Josie

My card

My kit from Georgette

and my card

I had a lot of fun putting these together.  It’s always fun to challenge your creativity when you are limited to what someone else sends you.  If you haven’t done a swap yet, I highly recommend it.  Come join us over at Anything Goes..we do them all the time!

Round and Round with Sarah Hurley

So this is my last week as Guest Designer on the Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog.  I have had a great time and just want to thanks Sarah and her great DT for having me.  It has been a blast!  This week, the theme is round cards!  Now I’ll admit, I don’t make a lot of them, but they really are a nice change from the traditional shape & size.  Here is the one I created using the Mad Hatter from Sarah’s Wonderland CD which you can find more information for on the blog~

I actually cut it out using my Cricut cartridge and then used the same cartridge to cut out the yellow circles as well.  I printed out the mad hatter and his little hats and then just cut them and added pop dots and a bit of inking.  The poem Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat, I just printed off the internet.  I added a bit of button and a bit of bling from my stash as well.

Make sure you stop by the blog and leave your love for the rest of the DT, they really have some great projects for you this week!]

Thanks again to Sarah for having me!

Thursday Goings on

Well a few things to tell you today…

It’s a new challenge over at AIF.  I don’t have a card for you today…I’ve been really busy this week with work and with Riley that I haven’t had a chance.  I hope to get one done this weekend.  It’s a Valentine’s Day/Love theme so for those of you still making Valentine cards, it’s right up your alley…

Make sure you check out the challenge blog for all the deets and…there’s a freebie there for you as well.

Also head on over to the Lollipop Crafts site and check out the Sponsor Spotlight, which this week is Meljen’s Designs..love her work and she has a bunch of freebies that you just have to pick up..they are adorable!!!

Here is the card that I created for the spotlight..I just love this guy..remember you saw him a couple of days ago on my tag

I just made this card with some scraps, a border punch and some buttons.  The sentiment is Create with TLC.. colored with copics and some chalk to highlight.

Lollipop’s Anything but a Card

Oh man! I am so embarrased!  I missed my first posting as a new Lollipop girl! I do apologize to you all!  So the theme this week is Anything but a Card…a bit out of the box for me as I always make cards, or at least tags.  The new Design Team is making their debut this week! Our sponsor this week is Meljen Designs…I’m sure you have seen her images everywhere! She even has a fabulous freebie section here

I love here stuff and was so excited to be using them for this challenge.  Make sure you stop by the Lollipop Blog to check out all the fabulous DT creations as well as to link up your project to win some great images from Meljen!

So I decided to do something even different and went with this bookmark.  I actually made it for my mom as part of a pay it forward swap on Facebook….it’s what she wanted..LOL  I just love this grump image and I know I’m going to be doing a lot more with it!

Not a lot going on here.  I embossed the bookmark with the clockworks folder and used one of my border punches.  The DP down the centre was just from my stash and I used a border punch for that as well.  I cut the image out with my nesties, colored it with copics and added some chalk.  I also added a bunch of stickles to make him pop some more.  The little READ book is from my cricut cartridge and the flower from my stash.    A little fibre to top it off!

Have a great day everyone, and make sure you stop by the Lollipop Crafts blog on Thursday for the sponsor spotlight, where I have a card that I created using this guy again!

This bookmark is in the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion: Anything Goes

Karber: Inspired by a book (I hope this counts as it was inspired by all books!)

Corrosive Challenge: Orange, Red & Yellow (I’ve got just a bit of red in my fibre there)

Meet Little Miss Muffet Designs

Here’s what founder Barbara has to say about her new store:

“Little Miss Muffet Designs is the newest digital stamp source on the web created by Barbara from Forgotten Scraps .  This little shoppe was inspired by a house full of Little Miss Muffets and arachnophobes alike. It was opened with a bit of luck and loads of encouragement from friends and
fellow bloggers around the world.  Challenges and inspiration can be found
on my personal blog at Forgotten Scraps and the 2nd challenge opened this week!  Digital stamps, handmade cards & crafts and more can be found in the store… and who know what I’ll add
along the way.  I hope you join me in this new endeavor so come on over and
join as a Follower and watch it grow!”

To begin the celebration, the Lollipop girls were asked to create a card to help Barb celebrate her new store.  I love love love her little monsters digis and so I was very excited to use this one called Monster Love.

The DP is from an old Hot off the Press birthday pack that I had and it just has some great celebration papers in it! I love the purple and yellow combo together with the splash of green!  I colored of course with my Copics and then cut it out in a circle and added it to a scallop that I cut out with my cricut.  The buttons are from my stash!

Make sure you check out Barb’s store and get yourself some of these adorable monsters (she also has freebies!) and don’t forget to play in her challenges as well!
