Best Wishes: for the boys challenge at Poodles

Hi everyone.  I am late getting this post up today.  It has been busy in my house with my DH gone for the weekend, me working both jobs today and taking care of our 2yr old.  I actually spent the day in my pj’s if you can believe it!

Anyway, our challenge for you at Poodles Parlour is a fun one.  A masculine challenge for the boys being sponsored by Karen’s Doodles.

Here is mine for this week.

It is a simple card and I chose a BEST WISHES sentiment so that it could really be used for anything.  The DP was sent to me in a swap and I colored the image with my Copics, cut it out with my nestiblities and then ran some chalk over it.  Just a few buttons to add.

Please stop by the blog and enter our new challenge and to see the rest of the DT inspiration for you!

Lollipop Sponsor Spotlight

happy Thursday all!  I know I haven’t posted for a bit.  I’ve been busy trying to get stuff made for my craft fairs this year–I am doing 4 all in the month of November.  So I have been busy but I have some projects to share with you later :)

Today is the Sponsor Spotlight over on Lollipop Crafts!  This week we are sponsored by Di’s Digi Downloads

Our challenge this week is to use brads and/or eyelets on your project.  Pretty simple so everyone can enter and we have a great prize.  Everything you need to know can be found on the blog here.

Here’s what I have for you this week:

the DP is from a paper surprise pack I got from Hot Off The Press eons ago and have had forever.  I chalked the image after copic coloring and then did a little paper piercing on the scalloped circle.   It’s a little hard to see in the picture but the butterfly and the centers of the flowers all have stickles on them. A little of the baker’s twine from Whisker Graphics and a little charm and bling to finish it off.  I hope you enjoy.

1+2+3 Crazy Style

So on our blog at the Crazy Challenge this week, it’s a 1, 2, 3 recipe challenge and the crazy part is, you can pick your own 1,2,3! Our sponsor this week, is Sassy Studios!
For my card, I picked 1 image, 2 DP’s and 3 embellishments. I have stickles, brads and lace. Make sure you check out the blog to enter and to check out the other DT inspiration for you this week.

As you can see, I’ve used again the left overs from the Prima paper from my circle journal.  I added some lace that I inked to match the colors for my card.  I added just a few stickles to give her crown some shine and a few brads in the corner.  It’s been awhile since I used brads on anything!  Colored with Copics and then chalked around.  A simple card that I can use for pretty much anything.  I like that.

SomeBunny Loves You

Wow..only a few days left until Easter and if you can believe it, we still have snow here in Calgary.  **sigh** Seven months of winter is just too long. :(   We have a sketch challenge for you over at Lollipop Crafts for this week’s challenge and our sponsor is Robyn’s Fetish!  Make sure you check out all the deets here.

This is my card this week and I really love how it turned out.  I colored my image with copics of course and then chalked it after cutting it out with my nestiblities.  The DP is just from my stash andso is the ribbon.  I made a little border with a new punch I got and the little bunny stickers is from the $$ store. The stamp set is from My Craft Lounge which I picked up recently.  I really like how this card turned out!

You can check out the DT projects here as well as the details for this week’s challenge.

Our sponsor this week is Meljean’s Designs..

Oh I love her stuff.  I just used some orange cardstock I had and stamped it with the stars of my Stampin Up basic backgrounds stamp.  The image was colored with copics and then chalked.  It was then put on a border cut from my spell binders and the die cut stars were from a swap I did on Club CK.  The stamped sentiment is from my Stampendous sentiments set.  I hope you enjoy this and look forward to seeing what you come up with on our challenge this week.
