Love is in the Air Blog Hop!

Love is in the air and the Challenge Master Divas are celebrating by having a blog hop! The hop is going to run from Friday January 28th until Sunday January 30th. We have lots of prizes, fun and inspiration for you this weekend. If this is your first stop on the hop, PERFECT! you are on the right track.  I am starting you off.  If you have gotten here from someone else’s blog along the way, make sure you go from here so that you don’t miss anything!
All of the Divas are creating love inspired projects for you to enjoy.  Each one representing what love means to them.

We also each have a word for a secret phrase. You need to stop by each blog and collect the words (they are all jumbled so you will need to visit each one) and once you have unscrambled them, send the phrase to tealeaf@shaw.ca to be entered to win one of the two grand prizes.

We each have a small blog prize as well so you want to make sure that you stop by all the blogs and leave us some love, so that you have multiple chances to win!

Another way to win, is to create your own love inspired project and remember it can be anything you love (a person, a place, a thing, a hobby..whatever love means to you) and upload it to the Challenge Master’s Gallery in the forum. You will have until Sunday February 13th to enter your projects and then after careful deliberation a winner will be announced on our challenge blog! The grand prize winner will receive a great prize pack donated by ME! You don’t want to miss out on this so start creating! You can enter as many times as you wish as long as you create new projects each time.

So for my project for the hop, I decided to create some cute little love notecards.  They were fairly simple to put together and I thought that they would be fun to put into my husband’s lunch bag for the week leading up to Valentine’s Day.

The DP was from a swap that I did and I thought that they would be perfect for these.  I added some ribbon across the top (I used a few different ones).  I cut the circles out using my Cricut and then using a Stampin’ Up set I found in my cupboard, I added a little heart.  The little note sentiment is also from Stampin Up as well.

I also want to share with you a project I made last summer that totally fits in with this hop.  I had this old tin laying around and didn’t know what to do with it.  So I thought it would be fun to make some magnets!  I used all Kiki-Art product for this project! I really love her stuff and I’m proud to be on the DT!

I used modge podge to apply the Amor Corozon Mulitcolor (#010104) to the top of the tin.  I wanted the hearts of this paper to stand out, so I kept the embellies minimal and just used some red ribbon and one of the Kiki glittered chipboard hearts. (#010304).  The magnets themselves were the fun part.  I used a 1/2″ circle punch to cut out some random hearts in the varying colors.  I then applied them to the clear pebbles (which you can find in any craft store) using diamond glaze adhesive.I had to trim just a bit once they were dry and then I added some magnetic strip to the backs.  I picked up a roll of magnetic strip at my local dollar store. I thought it turned out really well!

Okay…to win my blog prize below, leave me a comment and tell me what love means to you!  I’ll draw a random winner on Monday Jan 31st.  I would also love it if you became a follower as well!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you enjoy the rest of the hop…and of course the word that you need from me is  WE

I’m also going to throw in a set of the notecards that I made for this hop!

Now head off to Sally’s blog and see what she has in store for you~!

I did some embossing using my Polka Dots CB folder for the background to the image and the sentiment, which by the way can be found at Create with TLC..do you know how much I love her sentiments???!  I used my Hero Arts background stamp to do the swirls and the DP is from my stash.  The ribbon this week is Savvy N Sassy .  Rhea always has the cutest Pom Poms~!

Christmas Cards

So my mom commissioned me to create her Christmas cards this year.  The only stipulation was that they had to have a religious theme to them.  So this is what I came up with.  There are 3o cards based on the same image (Inkadinkado’s Mother & Child) and CTMH Card Chatter Christmas for the inside (Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth, peace, goodwill towards men).  She loves them, and so do I!

This month’s Stash Challenge

So Sunday marks another week of new challenges over on Challenge Master’s . I gave out this month’s Stash Challenge.  Do you ever notice how many scraps you really have and just how many projects you can make with them???   I was trying to organize this week and realized I have A LOT!  So my Stash Challenge this month is to create a project using your scraps.  For layouts, it has to be at least 2 pieces of patterned paper and 2 pieces of Cardstock that is scrap. For cards, your whole card should be scraps except for the card bases (even better if you can make it out of scraps too!)  So, here are the cards that I made using some scraps..

Let me know what you think!  Visit us over at challenge masters to see all the new challenges this week! You will be inspired!

Happy Scrapping everyone!

Ch{all}enge Masters F{all} into a Ch{all}enge Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Ch{all}enge Masters F{all} into a Ch{all}enge Blog Hop! The challenge Divas have gotten together to create some fantastic Fall themed projects for you to be inspired by and enjoy. If you are looking for the start of the hop, you are in the right place!

Here’s how it works

–Follow the links to each Divas blog in order. As well as a prize on each blog, the  Divas each have a secret word.  You need to collect these words to spell a phrase.

–At the end of the blog hop you will be taken to the CM challenge blog for your final word and instructions on where to send the completed phrase to win one of the grand prizes.  We would love for you to leave a comment as well..let us know what projects you enjoyed!

–There are two grand prizes: one is for finishing the hop and submitting the phrase.  The second one (the bigger one) is for creating and uploading your own project with a fall theme.

To be eligible to win the large grand prize, you will need to join (for free) the CM forum (where we have new challenges every week by our awesome Divas) & gallery so that you can upload your project.  The deadline is  midnight EST on Saturday September 25 to upload .  We will announce the winner a couple days later.  It’s that easy!  We can’t wait to see what you create!

Now here is my project for you.   Fall always makes me think of the trees turning color and of course Hallowe’en.  My son Riley is 14 months and we are going to take him trick or treating for the first time this year! I can’t wait.

I love making cards so I thought that I would make 2 for this hop! I made this really cute Autumn card

The tree was a diecut that I received in a big swap which I had been dying to use.  I just used my scor buddy to add some texture to the bottom of the cardstock and then some colored buttons for leaves!  The stamp is from Pink Paisley.

The second one is a Hallowe-en card

I just used some scraps of Hallowe’en paper I had from other cards and added some great ribbon from Savvy N Sassy, the foam spider I’ve had forever and the pumpkin I cut out from a Cuttlebug diecut.

Now..the fun part..here is my prize for this hop.  To win, just leave me a comment and I will choose a random winner on Monday September 20th.  If you would like to become a follower you will get an extra entry to win! Just let me know in the comments!
