Just for you

It’s Friday! Oh thank heaven! It has been what seems like a long week for me.  I’ve not been able to get into my craft space much this week with work being so busy.

I do however, have a new card for you for our challenge this week at Creative Corner Challenges.  My theme this week is layers.  The more the better, but at least 2 layers are needed to qualify for this week’s mystery prize.  I’m not announcing it until I pick the winner next week but it’s a good one.

Here’s my fun card for you this week.  Again I was using up my scraps from my Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper.  I am happy to announce that I have one more project to show you next week and then it is finally finished! Yay! That only took me 4 years to go through! I thought I was doing so well finishing up a paper pack finally and then I find out today that I won 4 paper packs by Basic Grey…**sigh** I can’t win for losing but I’m not really complaining :)

Ok..card..

The image was in my image bucket so it came from a swap ages ago.  I just colored it with my copics.  As I said the DP was in my stash and it is the scraps of the scraps of the Crate Paper Lil Sprout collection.  The sentiment is an old one from my stash.  It was fun to do a square card for a change.  I actually made this one for a swap on Swap-bot as well which has a square card theme.  I hope you like it.  Don’t forget to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the DT inspiration pics for you this week and enter to win my mystery prize.

Autumn Blessings

Happy Thursday everyone!  I have a new card for you for Delightful Thursdays!   Make sure you head over to the Digital Delights blog to check out what the DT has for you today.  Delightful challenges is also having a Giving Thanks challenge this weeks so don’t forget to enter as well.

I used one of Wendy’s colored images for you this week.  It’s the Fall House image which I thought was really pretty.  I then paired it with the fall sentiments.

With the image I used some paper from Basic Grey.  I inked it with some Tim Holtz Ranger Ink in spiced marmalade.  I used a border punch as well as a Sizzix flourish die.  The sentiment is cut out with a Stampin up Punch.  I also added some ribbon and bling from my stash as well.  The big leaf is from Walmart.

I hope you like today’s card.

An Autumn Thank you -UIT Challenge #41

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It was Thanksgiving over here in Canada on Monday so it was a busy weekend for my family as I had 2 dinners to attend as well as my youngest brother’s wedding on Saturday.  This whole weekend seems like a big party! LOL

For many of us, autumn is well and truly here.  So, we have a great challenge for you at Use it Tuesday this week.  We are falling into fall and would love to see your Fall Creations!  It can be anything that fall inspires you with, the rich colors, the celebrations, the activities….all we ask is that you use your hoarded supplies to create with and let us know what they are when you post.

Here is my card for you today.

I’m sure you recognize the paper from another card I did. This MME paper is great for fall projects, lots of rich colors.  I used some more of the American Crafts pumpkin ribbon.  The leaves were cut out using my little leaf punches and then the pumpkins and gate were from a die cut swap I did ages ago.  The sentiment is from a Stampin up set that has a matching punch.  I’ve used the punch before but not the stamp set so really loving paring the two together.

I just love the autumn feel of this card! :)

Please stop by the blog to see the rest of the inspiration the girls have for you this week and to enter our challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Spring Fling Challenge

Happy Monday all! Welcome to a new challenge for Lollipop Crafts this week.  We’re being sponsored by Kitty Bee Designs which I will tell you more about on Wednesday when the blog has their sponsor spotlight.  In the meantime, our challenge this week is to create a spring themed card.  This is a pretty easy challenge and everyone should enter to win!

Here’s my card for this week…

Everything is from my stash.  Gotta use that stuff up!  The butterflies were cut using the Stamping Cartridge.  The image is a Stampin’ Up one and was sent to me in a swap ages ago.  Finally got a chance to use it.  For a change, I just colored it with some colored pencils instead of the usual copics.  I added a bit of stickle around the one butterfly for a little glitz.  I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget to stop by the blog to see the rest of the DT inspiration and to enter this week’s challenge.

Happy Monday all! It’s a new challenge day at Lollipop Crafts, this week being sponsored by

Inked Treasures!

Our challenge for you this week is to EMBELLISH IT! Use 3 embellishments on your projects.  Easy Peasy..who doesn’t love to embellie!!!

Here is my card for today

For my embellishments I chose ribbon, bling and brads.  I also have a rub on there that says Happy Birthday!  A simple birthday card using some scraps.

Make sure you stop by the Lollipop blog to see the great inspiration my team has for you this week and to play along!

Color Me Green

Good day everyone!  It’s Monday so a new Lollipop Crafts challenge for you this week.  I am hosting and my theme this week is Monochromatic! I love the look of varying shades of the same color.  Mine of course is green. It has to be green.

This week we are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Designs.

Really cute images! We’ll have more on them on Thursday for our Sponsor Spotlight.

Here is my card this week.

I colored the image using my copics.  The DP is just some scraps that I had.  I used a bit of a border punch, a flower (to which I added some glitter), a button, some ribbon (Savvy n Sassy) and a ticket that was originally beige and I just inked it green.   I cut the leaf out using my cricut. A little paper piercing and distressing to add some texture and voila!  I hope you  like it

Don’t forget to head over to the blog and enter for your chance to win.  I look forward to seeing what you create.

A sponsored Challenge at Sarah Hurley

Hey everyone!

This week on the Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog we are lucky enough to be sponsored by GallimaufryUK  digi kits. GallimaufryUK is the work of Penni Taylor, a fantastic scrapbook digi designer. She creates beautiful kits fthat are great for  digi and hybrid scrapping with papers, elements, alphabets, word art and so much more. Every kit is truly an inspiration. Please check out her blog and her store for lots of great products and inspiration!

The Design Team was given her Bloomin’ Lovely kit to work with and oh wow! The images on this are soooo pretty! Perfect for all your spring and summer layouts, whether you do digital projects or not~!  I don’t make digital layouts but I had such fun printing off these elements to use for my cards and layouts. You need to stop by the SH blog to see all the great DT inspiration for you!

Here is the card that I made for the summer themed challenge.  I know my card says Happy Spring, but believe me, here in Calgary Spring and Summer are pretty much the same thing..LOL you don’t get a lot of distinction when you have snow up until May!

I printed off the balloon, flowers and grass and then cut them out.  I added a bit of inking to the balloon and some stickles to the flower to add a bit of dimension.  The DP is also from GallimaufryUK.  I added a bit of fibre to accent the grass and the sky and some little letters that were given to me in a swap.  I am looking forward to seeing your entries into this week challenge, it runs until June 12th so you have lots of time to enter!

I’ve entered into the following challenges:

Creative Craft World: 3 or more flowers

Divas by Design: Florals

Fab & Funky: Whateva (and they are having a DT call too)

Truly Scrumptious: Summery Sparkle

A spoonful of Sugar: Flower Power

You also have a few days left to get in on the embossing challenge to win some of those fabulous embossing folders from Handy Hippo (they are sweet!).  You can find that challenge here.

This is the card I have for you this week…I just love these green digital papers that Sarah has..they were perfect for this little ladybug, which I cut out using my Create a Critter cartridge .

I kept it really simple.  All the paper is from Sarah and the flowers, ribbon, button, bling and hemp are from my stash.  The sentiment is from an old stamp set that I picked up eaons ago and just love using…

Enjoy!

A Floral Thank You with Sarah Hurley

So today’s marks my debut as part of the Sarah Hurley DT. Our theme this week is Flowers…
Without further adieu here is mine… (shout out to Lori Padberg.  It was one of her creations that inspired mine.  I loved the simple look of it)
I used some digital paper & sentiment from Sarah’s line which can be found here.

The flower is from my stash and I just inked it up a bit with some red ink.  I did some die cutting as well for the flowers and used the spellbinders to showcase the flower.  And of course some embossing using the fleur de lis embossing folder from Cuttlebug.  A really simple card but I quite like it.  Make sure you stop by the Sarah Hurley challenge blog to get your own flower entries in!  We can’t wait to see them!
