Hi everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve been in touch. Although I had a great time in Cuba for our vacation, I have been sick since our return and needless to say, creating was the last thing on my mind. I am feeling much better now and back to creating and posting.

We have a new challenge for you at Lollipop Crafts this week. Our theme is Wing it! So anything that has wings: butterflies, fairies, insects etc. Make sure you check out our blog. We are being sponsored this week by Robyn’s Fetish.

It has been a long time since I have done a layout…months I am sure. I was at a crop on the weekend and here is one of the layouts that I did. I am not sure who the paper is from as this was given to me as a kit while I was at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival. This is the first picture taken of my son Riley when he was born in 2009.

A new year a new challenge with Lollipop

Greetings! Happy New Year to you all. As you read this, I am sunning happily on a beach in Guardalavaca Cuba for my annual anniversary trip with my family.

Well the team at Lollipop is back from our Christmas holidays and we are ready to go! This week our challenge is an anything goes, anything NEW challenge! Could be new wedding, new love, new home or in my case for you today a new baby. I hope you like this week’s card and make sure you stop by our blog to see all the great DT inspiration for you!

This is a Stampin Up image that was send to me in a swap. The DP is from a stash swap I did in a group on PaperCraft Planet. The ribbon wrapped one of my Secret Santa gifts and ..ooohh the little bits of bling are courtesy of my new I-rock. I finally picked one up and am loving it now! I hope you enjoy this card.

Lollipop Challenge #61-Happy Holidays!

Wow! So hard to believe that it is almost Christmas. We don’t even have our tree up yet! Best get on that!

So, it’s our final challenge of the year at Lollipop Crafts before the Christmas break! We are doing a Happy Holidays theme this week. I have pretty much finished making the Christmas cards for the season. Just a few here and there for family and friends.

Here is my card for you this week

I had an order to make some humorous Christmas cards for a lady. I made up about 14 of them for her to choose from. I printed the image off of the internet and the snowflakes were made using my BG sizzix snowflake die which I just love. A bit of Velvet ribbon. The DP is My Mind’s Eye the Merry days of Christmas from a couple of years ago. Finally cracked that baby open! A little bit of bling finishes it off. Tim’s Tags Days 2-4

So due to Christmas parties and such I was a bit behind in the tags but I am caught up now.

I never have everything that Tim uses so some of these are bastardized…

Day 3 is really my own interpretation because it really is not a whole lot like the original but I did take a lot of the elements and did they my way

Christmas time in the city…

It’s such a snowy day here in Calgary today. Definitely home bound. I am working on days 2-4 of my Tim Tags which I will be uploading later.

In the meantime……

So CARDS magazine (Northridge Publishing) is having a challenge to make Christmas Cards this week. Last week the challenge was non-traditional colors, so I thought I would just continue on.. I love this. I do this all the time so I want to share a few I created.

This one I did for my stampin up card class. The stamp is Winter Wilma and I have had it forever! Did a lot of misting with this one…(I’m all about the misting these days)

And so the 12 days begin

Well scrappers, you know it’s ’tis the season when Tim Holtz starts his 12 Tags of Christmas! Here it is Season 5 or is it 6..anyway…today is day 1.

So here is the tag that Tim came up with …I didn’t have a lot of what he did, but I was able to ‘improvise’ a lot and still come out with a great tag. My only ugh is that I think I used a bit too much of the white paint/stickles on the greenery… My favorite part is the banner. I didn’t have any music stamps so I found some vintage music sheets on the ‘net and printed it off onto some Kraft cardstock and then added some Vintage Photo DI to it. A little distressing and voila! Also didn’t have the pinecone die so I used one of my flower dies instead and I think it worked alright

Stay tuned tomorrow for the next one. It goes live on Tim’s blog in a couple of hours but I’ll be asleep by then Catch it in the morning…it’s like opening up my advent calendar each day

B is for ………..

Bow! It’s a new challenge at Lollipop Crafts this week and we (to quote Murray from Sesame Street) want you to bring out your B’s! It can be bling, bows, boy, blue, brush..whatever you have that begins with the B…. I chose bow.

This card is CAS from one I saw on Prairie Paper and Ink. She has some great projects and I love checking out her blog.

I finally cracked open my MME DP for this project. I cut the snowflake out using my Don Juan cartridge on the Cricut and the little peppermint brad I’ve had forever. The sentiment is an old stamp set I found , the ribbon from the $$ store and used one of my border punches. I hope you enjoy it!

Jingle Bells

Hey everyone! I am a day behind for this post. It’s a new challenge at The Poodles Parlour. We are being sponsored this week by Glitterbabe Digis! Such cute images!

Here is my card for this week. I bought these little jingle bells at the $$ store and just had to start using them!

The DP is by MME (The Merry Days of Christmas). I colored the image with my copics and then cut it out with my nestibilities. I added some glitter to the wings. The twine is from Whisker Graphics and then the bell from the $$ store. I hope you enjoy it!
